My ISA experience exceeded all of my expectations. With the support of the staff and the excitement of my host country I developed into a more independent, open-minded and carefree person. This experience has changed my outlook on life and introduced so many opportunities for me. This was truly a life changing experience.
Alana Macy, UC Boulder
"Living and studying in Buenos Aires is without a doubt one of the most challenging, but most fulfilling things I have ever done in my life. ISA will bend over backwards to help you with anything you would ever need. I wish my program lasted more than 4 months! After this PHENOMENAL experience, I must say, for some, it's a question IF they come back. For me, it's a question of WHEN I can come back to Buenos Aires. Choose Buenos Aires, Argentina and you will NOT be disappointed with your study abroad experience!"
Ashley Stehlik, Doane College
My political, cultural, social, personal and linguistic knowledge has significantly expanded in such a short stay. I´ve learned life lessons that are fundamental for my future growth and maturity in ways that I will probably never realize.
Devin Oliver, The Ohio State University
This experience is truly one of a kind. You are able to immerse yourself in a different culture and learn all it has to offer, making long last friendships both with students in your program and with locals. But the true learning experience is the one you gain from the country as it help you learn more about yourself allowing you to see all that you are capable of accomplishing.
Dianna Brittian, University of Maryland, Baltimore County
"Studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina was one of best experiences I've ever had. I would recommend anyone considering studying abroad to do it. I can guarantee you will not regret it. I still keep in touch with my host family and I became close with my friends I met there, most of whom I still communicate with. I also would recommend anyone interested in volunteering through the ELAP program to also do it. I learned several things from my trip- about myself and the Argentine culture, among other things. Having made this trip makes me want to study abroad again and travel."
Jessica Ibarra, University of Pittsburgh
I really did have the time of my life in Buenos Aires. I have learned so much about the culture, the language, and myself in these past five months. I had never lived in a big city before, so I was a little overwhelmed at first, but I certainly did fall in love with Buenos Aires, and now I don't want to leave! There is never a dull moment in this city. There are almost too many interesting people to meet and too many fun, cool things to do. I hope I can come back and visit someday: Buenos Aires will have a special place in my heart for the rest of my life.
Kristen Rumery, UCLA
The experience I received with ISA was beyond any expectations I had before coming to Buenos Aires. Being in a huge city far from home, ISA provided the perfect home base from which we could learn, branch out and establish our own foothold in the city. My semester abroad was incredible and was only made better with the help and guidance of the ISA staff!
Lauren Robinson, University of South Carolina
"My experience with ISA has been incredible. The trips offered with the program allowed every student to learn more about Argentina as a country, rather than just the city of Buenos Aires. I would recommend this program to anyone wanting to study abroad!"
Madeline Nash, University of Denver
I cannot put a price on my experiences here in Buenos Aires nor adequately describe them in words. I can only say that these were some of the best months of my life and I could not be more pleased that I chose to study abroad with ISA.
Melanie Jorgenson, Rockhurst University

Nancy Camarillo, California Lutheran University
When I decided to study in Argentina, I had no idea how much my life was about to change. Studying abroad is something everyone should experienced. I´m really a new person now, and I'm not looking back.
Paul Hill, University of North Texas
Before leaving I was feeling nervous and anxious and unsure about my decision coming abroad. Looking back now I can not believe I ever felt that way. Coming down here was legitimately the best decision I have ever made. I have learned so much about language, culture, people/diversity, art, and family but most of all I have learned so much about myself. The world would be a better place if everyone could study abroad.
Rebecca Oliver, University of Colorado
"I truly enjoyed being a part of ISA both because of the staff and their excellent guidance and friendly countenance and the students I was privileged to meet and spend time with. I learned a lot, I grew a lot, and I will never forget this wonderful experience."
Tori Armendariz, Fort Lewis College
Being a student of international affairs, I was immediately attracted to Brussels and this well priced program. The experience I gained with my internship was invaluable toward my career. And because Brussels is so close to everything I was able to travel all over Europe! I will never forget what I learned during this incredible experience.
Andrew Wallis, University of Arkansas, Fayettville
My experience with ISA has been one of the best experiences of my life. I have lived, at reasonable cost, in one of Europe's most-beautiful cities, Brussels. I have also made great friends, met wonderful locals, and enjoyed interesting and valuable coursework, all while traveling to some wonderful and exciting places (Amsterdam, The Hague, Cologne, etc.). It is, from what I know, one of the best values for a study abroad experience, and ISA has given me a wonderful perspective prior to pursuing graduate education. I feel like I am in the best possible position to pursue my career goals, at least in part, as a result of this journey
Andrew Jon Carr, Christopher Newport University
Brussels is the best kept secret of Europe! Belgium has international politics, adventure, exceptional classes, great excursions, fun nightlife!
Chantel Christian, University of Tennessee, Chattanooga
Belgium is truly the center of Europe. From the food to the people, every single day can be an adventure. This place is not only for career oriented students, it is also a home to relaxed locals and a plethora of party animals. Whether you spend every weekend in a new European country or take the days to explore Brussels, you will not be disappointed. This experience has opened my eyes to new places, cultures, and most importantly new people that I will never forget.
Charlie Schmidt, University of Denver
My abroad experience with ISA has been a time of my life I will never forget. Not only was I able to grow as a person, but I was able to do it with new friends from all over the country while doing great cultural things in so many different parts of Europe!
Christine Woodrome, Miami University of Ohio
Study Abroad in Brussels, Belgium was definitely an eye opening experience. This kind of experience teaches you about yourself and teaches you how to go out and get things on your own. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Dafne Elizondo, University of Texas, El Paso
Belgium is an eccentric place, and ISA definitely allowed me to come face to face with this unique country. The ISA program in Belgium also provided me with with valuable opportunities to further my educational, professional, and personal goals. It was through my participation in these areas that I was able to enjoy myself while developing my personal strengths in a way that will be very beneficial for my future endeavors.
Grant Berg, California Lutheran University
ISA was the best choice I made when studying abroad. They helped me from every way possible. From the arrival at the airport to classes to where to eat, they completed the study abroad experience.
Katie Dobin, University of Oklahoma
ISA Brussels, Belgium is a wonderful program. It will truly help you to grow in a city where the possibilities are endless and bountiful. Brussels is truly the capital of the European Union where everyone speaks more than 2 languages and the people are splendid. It is a place where you can truly find yourself.
Meica Green, Randolph College
Brussels is very underrated...but those are the places that surprise you the most! I would not have chosen any other place to study abroad - The people, food, location, beer, and fries everything is great!
Mercedes Priebe, University of Denver
The culture of Florianopolis is very rich and the people are extremely friendly and always wanting to help you. I really feel that my experiences here are valuable to my growth as a person. I would suggest studying abroad to anyone, and ISA is a great program to go through.
Amanda Doucett, Western Washington University
I am very happy that I chose to study abroad with ISA. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I grew as a person, had a wonderful host family, and made some great new friends.
Audrianne Thrasher, Ursinus College
The island of Florianópolis is so beautiful. There are so many beaches and each one has their own unique thing about them. I definitely recommend going to Lagoinha do Leste! You have to hike to get there, it's like a secret beach. The sights are amazing on the way there. Futbol games are so fun, try to go to one. Interacting with the locals was definitely a scary yet fun experience. I learned a lot more by talking to them.
Jessica Acoba, University of California, Irvine
ISA isn't just a study abroad program. It offers you so much more than that. Really what matters is what you make of your experience. ISA provides you with all the opportunities, and its up to you to embrace them and gain a new outlook.
Kathleen Cantu-Crouch, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa
Florianópolis is a magical place, a city of unique and overwhelming beauty. I had such an incredible time here that I have no words to adequately express my experience! If given the chance I would, without a doubt, do this all over again!
Kathryn Morgan, Virginia Commonwealth University
Coming to Brazil changed my life in so many ways. I got to experience one of the most beautiful places and cultures I have ever encountered. I grew up a lot, and feel that my level of maturity could not have been gained in the same way if I hadn't studied abroad. I made so many great friends here and I can't wait to come back to Florianópolis. Not only that, I met my girlfriend who I would have never met if I didn't come to Brazil. This trip is, hands down, the greatest thing I have ever done.
Reed Farrer, UCLA
My semester abroad in Florianópolis, Brazil was one of the greatest times of my life, and I feel like my time there has truly made me a better person. I've discovered the excitement of travel and the adventure of living in a foreign country, and I'm already making plans for my next trip to Brazil. I can't thank you enough, ISA!
Robert Robertson, California State University, Fullerton
The staff of ISA has been nothing but amazing and helpful to me while preparing for my semester abroad. They treated me like a friend and answered my millions of questions and really made it feel right. I couldn't be more excited to go!
Samantha Wax, Cabrillo College
My time abroad has made me a more well-rounded student and given me such a greater appreciation for my education. I loved the ISA program and the staff was very helpful. I am so thankful to have had this experience with amazing people from all over the United States and the world.
Sarah Wilson, University of Nebraska, Lincoln
If you want to learn a beautiful language, surf great waves, and meet amazing people, COME TO FLORIPA.
Thomas Daly, Mahattan College
I cannot even begin to describe the impact that my stay in Chile has had on my life. This program has pushed me to open my mind and my heart to new situations and people, and I have learned so much about the world and myself in the process. My host mother has treated me as if I were her own child and the ISA staff has been extremely helpful. I now consider Chile my second home and cannot wait to return to embark on new adventures.
Amanda Greenwood, Boston College
ISA is an excellent program, especially for first time travelers. The program was very well organized, down to the smallest of details and the overseas staff was incredibly helpful and always working on making my transition as seamless as possible. The ISA staff did a wonderful job selecting families for my new study abroad friends and I will be keeping in touch with both my overseas family and the friends I have made in South America for years to come. It truly was a growing experience and something that I will keep close to me forever.
Elizabeth Harty, University of Wisconsin, Whitewater
I didn't know much about Chile or Valparaiso when I came down here but despite tough issues with language at first, I learned and gained so much from this experience. I would recommend ISA to EVERYONE. The staff is so helpful and the program is organized and thorough. Valpo is a charming city unlike ANYWHERE in the rest of the world and for that, I am so glad I chose Chile. There is so much to be gained from studying abroad and from studying in Valpo you will get the language, culture and travel elements in one city.
Studying abroad in Chile has been the single most important experience I have had so far in my life. I have improved my Spanish, met some awesome friends, become more independent, and feel as though I returned to the U.S. a better person.
Jenna Hacker, Northern Illinois University
If I learned anything while abroad, it is that the capacity of human beings for kindness and patience is remarkable. I could ask a complete stranger for help, and he or she would take the time to point out or explain to me what I needed to know. I lost my fear of speaking so fast because I knew that, no matter how funny or confused I sounded, the people I met were more interested in helping than laughing (though there have been some laughs, but laughter is one of the best parts of making mistakes. That's something else I learned.)
Kari Bray, Washington State University
My summer abroad has been a life-changing summer. Being with ISA in Chile I have gotten to experience a different culture first-hand, and also got to experience a part of Chile's history. I don't think I would have ever had these experiences if I had not chosen ISA. I would recommend them to everyone!
Kassandra Baumgardner, University of Alabama, Birmingham
Everything about my experience with the ISA program has been incredible-- more than I could have hoped for. They set me up with an amazing family and a great school which helped me to feel comfortable in this new environment. From there I was able to go off and live my life in Chile, getting to know the culture and its people on a deeper level. My abroad experience has been everything and more than I ever imagined it to be.
Redyn Keller, University of Maine
In the six weeks that I was in Chile, I changed myself as a person. There were many obstacles which I overcame and through this I was able to learn so much about myself. I have become more independent and less reliant on others. I learned what it was like to live in another country and adapt to it's culture and language. ISA helped me see the country and gave me a home base where I could find friends and a familiar face to help me with any issues I was having. I couldn't have had a better experience and I plan on living abroad directly after graduation.
Sarah Schneider, Virginia Tech University
My time in Chile was like a rollercoaster ride, but wow, was it worth it. I learned so much not only about Spanish and the Latin American culture, but also about myself. I am definitely not the same person I was when I got here. Its true what they say, another culture isn´t necessarily better or worse than your own, its different, learn to appreciate the differences. Thank you ISA Chile for a great semester.
Shaina Gleisner, Messiah College
ISA will show you the way and make your stay memorable! Wo ai ISA!
Amanda Ju, Christopher Newport University
Even a one semester study abroad experience will give you a global perspective that can be worth more than a college degree if you use that perspective to change your life.
Christopher Barenz, Western Illinois University
Going to China not only fulfilled a dream, but demystified the mystery surrounding this place.
Christopher Dallam, University of Arizona
ISA provided me with the opportunity to travel outside of the United States for the first time. I think everyone should have the opportunity to study abroad so that you can learn and live within a new culture. Having studied Mandarin before I went to China really allowed me to enjoy my time and appreciate the opportunity to practice my Chinese with just about everyone I came in contact with. Lastly, ISA Shanghai allowed me to meet so many new people many of which I believe will be friends for a long time.
Joseph Cooke, West Chester University
Studying in Shanghai, China was the best experience of my life. From goose feet to the Forbidden City the culture of China gave me a new perspective on how people live half a world away. At first Mandarin seems like an impossible challenge, but by the end of the trip I believe it is a manageable task. ISA prepared me well for the experience; our director was welcoming and professional throughout the duration of the program and the entire semester was worry free. Studying abroad is an incredible experience that should be considered by everyone.
Philip Wharton, Texas State University - San Marcos
ISA allowed me to have experiences I never would have had at my home university. I never would have thought I would have enjoyed studying abroad as much as I did, but it ended up being one of the greatest experiences I have ever had.
Ryan Schwing, Texas A&M University
This study abroad trip was such a wonderful experience, if I had the opportunity I would do it all again and not change one thing.
ISA has been so wonderful. I feel extremely prepared for my trip to Colombia and know that I will be in good hands once I arrive.
Clare DeVeau, Hope College
Barranquilla, Colombia was probably the best choice I could have made. They call it "calor humano" here and it can be felt at every corner of the city. The culture is vibrant everywhere you go.
Riti Patel, Loyola University Chicago
ISA is the most professional and welcoming organization I have ever worked with. From the application process to the final departure checklist, the experience was smooth and easy. Thank you ISA for helping me plan my dream study abroad program!
Taylor Wild, Colorado State University
Costa Rica was everything I could have asked for in a study abroad program. Cool people, great staff, amazing teachers, wonderful culture!
Brendan Thompson, Texas A and M University
My ISA experience in Costa Rica changed my life! I was challenged in so many ways and learned so much about myself. Studying abroad is a must for anyone who wants to expand their horizons, meet amazing people, and see the world with a global perspective.
Callie Muri, Western Washington University
Costa Rica is a country with stunning natural beauty of all genres and one that provides the means to be able to see these places. I'm coming back for sure.
David Boyd, North Carolina State University
ISA helped me connect the Spanish language to a beautiful country with a vibrant culture. I learned how to embrace this experience and found myself taking opportunities I never would have taken in the United States. It has been an amazing experience.
Hannah Rosen, Carnegie Mellon University
Studying abroad not only helps you become submersed in a new culture, but it helps you learn more about yourself and life, broadening your horizons and opening your mind to endless possibilities
Kristin White, California Lutheran University
ISA staff was very helpful and available. It is great that ISA helps students with accommodations, and even better that they give them the option to do certain things by themselves. ISA respects your independence as well as they try to help with everything they can.
Leslie Landin, University of Texas, El Paso
ISA is a wonderful window to the world!
Mark Brannen, Rockhurst University
Come search and discover your new family of friends in Heredia, Costa Rica; a new culture demands that you have the ability to create your own experience abroad! Make it happen, let your new friends help!
Michelle Marron, University of Nebraska, Omaha
My travel abroad experience was everything I hoped it would be, plus so much more. I practiced and improved my Spanish an extraordinary amount, I met new people, and made friends and connections from all over the world. I also grew close with my host family, experienced the culture, and learned a lot about myself. It was an extremely positive experience.
Teagan Papke, University of Northern Colorado
My experience in Heredia, Costa Rica for the fall semester 2008 was unbelievable, I had the time of my life. I didn't think studying abroad would be as much fun as I had. I would definitely recommend Heredia, Costa Rica.
Tyler Silverman, Florida Gulf Coast University
I have learned more than I ever thought I would. Now I feel confident with my Spanish as well!
Amanda Schwartz, University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh
Do it. You will meet some awesome people and get to see how things work in another country and another culture, the behind-the-scenes look.
Andrew Luckett, University of Kentucky
I got to interact with a lot of patients, doctors, and nurses from whom I learned a lot about hospitals, medicine, and patient interaction.
Andrew Luckett, University of Kentucky
My experience abroad in Costa Rica was life changing. There is nothing that could replace the memories made and knowledge obtained. What makes this program so wonderful is being surrounded constantly by positive influences that allow you to create yourself in new ways: a wonderful host family to teach you, ISA to guide you when lost, exploring the beauties of surrounding cities, and the culture as a whole will provide you with an unforgettable experience.
Ashley Westgate, Mercyhurst College
I have really grown as a person throughout my study abroad experience. I have met some great people here and have lived with a wonderful host family. If you ever have the opportunity to study abroad, do it, and it will change your life.
Collin Kessner, University of Nebraska, Lincoln
Great experience and opportunity for personal growth. Thank you!
Karla Ippolito, Arizona State University
Costa Rica immediately felt like home because of the helpful ISA staff and my loving host family. I can now call another part of the world home and if anyone asks me what the hardest part about studying abroad was, I'd have to say leaving.
Katherine Otanez, Washington State University
Costa Rica has the best environment for learning, exploring and surfing than any other place - ever!
Phillip Glaize, Colorado College
Costa Rica was the best country to go to, but choosing to go with ISA made the experience ever lasting.
Stephanie Cooper, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs
I have been so thankful I chose ISA. Everyone has been incredible. I have encouraged other students to consider ISA when they study abroad.
, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Prague was a great jumping-off point for the rest of Europe. I was always happy to be back in the greatest city in the world with some of the greatest friends I will ever meet. It was an experience that I wouldn't trade for anything.
Adam Striar, University of Colorado, Boulder
Going abroad made me grow up and appreciate independence. I visited cities I would have never thought to go to had I not studied abroad. The highlight of my college experience so far.
Claudia Tadla, University of Colorado
Studying abroad was the single most incredible thing I have done thus far in my life. I cannot imagine where I would be in my life if I hadn't had these past months and adventures to give me the perspective of life that I now have. If I knew what kind of profound experience I would leave with I would have chose to study the full year length instead of just the semester. I'm already looking for more opportunities to return!
Courtney Henning, University of Kentucky
I come from a small town in Alabama. Studying abroad in a foreign place, by yourself, without any family or friends can be scary. This was the first time I was living in an actual city. The friends I made through ISA I will stay friends with for a long time. I cannot put into words how happy I am with my study abroad experience. It was more than I ever expected!
Emily Miller, University of Alabama
Coming to Prague was the best decision of my life. I had so many wonderful experiences, met so many great people, and learned more than I ever thought possible about different cultures and different people.
Emma Neesam, Edgewood College
Studying abroad is an experience you cannot help but improve from or learn from. ISA Prague allows you to learn and discover and explore independently while also always providing support, assistance, and sincere friendship as you learn how to navigate in a strange culture away from home.
Julie Kucks, Grove City College
My Prague experience has given me more than I even imagined possible. The friends I've met here are going to be lifelong ones, and the experiences were unforgettable. I've crossed multiple items off my bucket list from being over here. I wouldn't trade my Prague experience for the world.
Leah Turner, University of Denver
Branch out. Definitely take part in the Buddy System at the [University of Economics]. Hanging out with local Czechs and people from all over the world was probably the most rewarding thing because it provided me with a more diverse cultural knowledge. Take advantage of the excursions because those were very informative and fun. Also ask ISA on site staff about travel. They helped me so much with finding restaurants, museums, and points of interest to check out. Whether it was Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Barcelona, or any other place; I found they had such a knowledge of all these places and found it to be extremely helpful. So again, THANK YOU ISA!
Matthew Venter, University of Colorado, Boulder
Having the opportunity to study abroad through the ISA program was a once in a lifetime experience through which I gained so much independence, met so many amazing people, and had the time of my life exploring one of the best cities in Europe!
Monica Duffy, University of Denver
I never thought for a second during my trip that I could have been happier anywhere else. ISA Prague was absolutely the best trip, experience and summer of my life!
Natalie Garner, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Everything I've done in Dominican Republic has helped me grow as a person. The ISA staff has done everything to make sure I do well in school, I learn the language to the best of my ability, and, most importantly, I have fun. Honestly, the worst part about it all is leaving.
Ashley Tarr, St. John's University
I came to the Dominican Republic not knowing a thing about it, its history, its culture, or its people. From the moment I stepped off the plane, I fell in love! Yes, it was difficult at times because my Spanish isn't perfect, but that was simply part of the experience and helped me grow as a person. After my time here, I can't imagine never coming back! I'm looking into bringing my pharmaceutical knowledge here for good.
Breann Zerby, Ohio Northern University
I feel like the experience that I received through ISA is something that I could never have done myself. With ISA I was given the opportunity to not only study, but meet all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds, meet american friends and go on bucket list excursions.
Melvin Fatimehin, Kansas State University
Best experience of my life. I would study abroad in the Dominican Republic for another year if I could. I met so many new people, made so many new friends and gained a whole other family and just for that I wouldn't trade this experience for the world.
Nea Muller, Western Washington University
My experiences in La Republica Dominicana were challenging, spontaneous, and life changing. I had a wonderful time living with my host family, making friends with locals, and spending time with my ISA fellow students. I have completely fallen in love with this country! The music, the food, and the people are a part of who I am now. I can't imagine going back to the U.S. where I won't hear merengue music on every corner with spanish weaving itself through the streets. I am not ready to go back to the U.S. but I don't know if I ever will be. La Republica Dominicana will always be in my heart and I am already planning on visiting my host family next summer. I am so thankful for this opporuntiy to test my independence, learn about another culture, and dance merengue & bachata every night!
Sarah Potucek, Carroll College
My three months in the Dominican Republic were three of the best months of my life. I learned a language, experienced a beautiful culture and island, gained a unique appreciation for the world around me, and came out of it a better person. The experience of studying abroad is an opportunity that every student should take advantage of because it is rewarding in more ways than you can imagine. The only way to find out just how great it is is to go ahead and do it!
Shane Barclay, UC Berkeley
Study abroad is one of the best decisions I have ever made! I highly recommend it to everyone! My time in London has been one that I will never forget. All the friends I have made and all of the experiences I've had will continue to impact me for the rest of my life.
Chandra Beehler, North Dakota State University
London is an amazing place. Expect it to challenge you, not only in your perceptions of Britain, but in the very way you live your life. This city is an amazing place to live and study. If you're a History major like I am, you can except to find London to be a treasure trove of historical information.
Hailey Galper, Seattle University
ISA is a great program provider. I chose them for both a summer in Barcelona and a fall in England. It was one of the best decisions I've made. I am very likely to recommend them to friends, family, and other future abroad. By going through them my study abroad experience was enhanced in more ways than I could have ever imagined. They organized my classes, housing, cultural excursions, and so much more. Additionally the staff members on and off site have always been helpful, kind, and caring. I have always felt comfortable and safe while being away from home, abroad in another foreign country.
Kate Story, University of Tampa
I feel very prepared to study abroad, because the staff was extremely helpful and friendly with every question I had about my upcoming trip. They made me feel comfortable and excited to be going to London through their study abroad program.
Lindsey Linhares, Mississippi State University
My experience abroad has truly changed my life. I view everything differently now and it had really taught me to appreciate life and culture to the fullest. And now, I finally know that there is another world out there that I had the opportunity to discover, explore, and enjoy.
Margaret Hayes, Northern Illinois University
ISA helped to make my study abroad experience a very smooth transition. Not only were they there to offer support and direction, but they helped me to make the most of my time abroad. The staff is so friendly and invested in making sure you have all the information you need to be a part of the culture. I would strongly recommend ISA to anyone going abroad. Many of my friends who did not go abroad with ISA wished they had.
Melanie Lehnhardt, Arizona State University
London is the best city in the world for education, because there are samples of every culture, every people, every religion, every story there. If you want to become a global citizen, go to London.
Sean Kane, Rockhurst University
I came to England expecting all British classmates, but I soon learned how diverse London is and I have gained a new respect for other cultures. My classes consist of individuals from all over the world and I enjoy getting to know my fellow students and learning about where they come from. There's also always something to do in London, I really think it is the perfect study abroad destination.
Tommie Clark, Iowa State University
Studying abroad changed me. It seems scary going some place you wont know anyone, but it was the greatest decision I ever made. Leave any doubt or fear behind and just do it!
The time I spent in England was a lifetime experience that I will never forget. The friends I made, the classes I took, the traveling I did aided in the learning and the eventual falling in love with the British culture.
Hannah Pincsak, Edgewood College
My term at Reading was the best semester of my life! The friends I made, the things I experienced, and the places I was able to visit are things I will never forget and I am so happy that I chose ISA!!
Larissa Denton, Colorado Christian University
Just go, there will always be things you are going to miss when you leave but the opportunities you gain from studying abroad are a once in a lifetime experience. They say that "traveling is the only thing you buy that makes you richer" and it is true. You gain more knowledge and experience from traveling then from any book you read or any movie you see. Studying abroad makes you see the world in a whole different way. It makes you realize that no mater how big the world is we are all connected in some way.
Studying abroad was the best experience of my life. The ISA staff was absolutely wonderful, and my experience would not have been the same without them. I became great friends with the other ISA students as well as locals, which only added to my experience.
Mary Alice Howard, Mississippi State University
Studying abroad took a lot of courage for me; leaving home behind to see the world can be scary. But seeing other countries, immersing myself in other cultures, and experiencing the sights, sounds, and feelings of the world helped me to mature and become a stronger person, and it was also the most fun I have ever had.
The three months I spend in England with the ISA program were some of the best of my life. The experiences and adventures were amazing, and I made friends with not only my fellow American program members, but also with the locals that I know I will keep for life. I could've happily stayed forever, and I plan on going back to visit and hopefully work as soon as possible. I truly found a second home and family in the UK and am so grateful for ISA and this opporunity.
ISA provides you with an incredible opportunity and helps to guide you through a journey of exploration and maturity. Every student is sure to arrive home with a newfound appreciation for a different culture and with a new perspective on life.
Adrienne Cohen, Dartmouth College
Being abroad has helped me not only to be more independent, but also to be a better student.
Brent Baskerville, University of Nebraska, Omaha
ISA let me spread my wings and learn things about myself that I might have taken another ten years to learn otherwise.
Brittany Maquet-Lambert, Harwick College
ISA has been the portal from my rather boring repetitive life, to this crazy explosion of diversity and new experiences. What I will take back to the U.S from this experience is something that I can't stress enough. I see the world with a whole new attitude and I love it. Top class stuff.
Colin Lima, Ohio State University
I couldn't have picked a better program! It felt like a package full of wonderful experiences, lessons, and people
Edith Rodriguez, Texas State University
ISA Paris was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I would recommend that every college student take part in an ISA study abroad trip.
Julia McCormick, John Carroll University
Through ISA, I have lived in the city that stole my heart!! In two months that I have lived here, I have met students with whom I will be life long friends. I have worked with some of the best professors ever, and I have lived in a host family that truly made Paris feel like home. Merci Beaucoup, ISA!!!!
Kristen Cypret, Missouri State University
My experience with ISA was one that I know I will never forget! From the moment I got my first welcome packet all the way to my flight out of Paris, I never stopped learning about Paris, about Europe, and about myself. The places I saw, the experiences I had, and the friends I made will be with me for the rest of my life. I'm so glad I decided to go on this adventure!
Laura Brond, College of William & Mary
Living in another country can change your life. I'm not who I thought I was 5 weeks ago, and I'm grateful for that
Meredith Reynolds, Augustana College
It was the experience of a lifetime. Not only did I have the opportunity to improve my ability to speak another language, but I grew as a person and learned so much about myself. If I had the opportunity, I would do it all over again!
Being Indian, it was easy for me to adapt to the culture. I found Hyderabad to be an interesting culture. I did learn a lot more and am glad that I got in touch with my roots. I would recommend anyone and everyone to study abroad and to pick India! Filled with a lot of culture!
My experience at the University of Hyderabad was a positive experience that helped me grow personally and professionally. Studying abroad in India was a challenge, but I feel that because of this I am a more capable individual
ISA Hyderabad successfully opened my eyes and my heart to all that India has to offer. I was able to learn about the culture and customs first hand, travel to many parts of the country, and build life-long relationships with locals.
Audrey Rattay, Thiel College
Hyderabad changed me, there I said it. Coming to India and doing this program was daunting at first. But simply by being here I learned that being abroad isn't so hard. In fact I stayed after for a month to travel around India and southeast Asia. I would say coming to India with ISA has been one of the best choices I can recall making. The people I met and the experiences I had will be with me forever.
Gabe Fox, University of Nebraska, Lincoln
India was nothing like I expected. It was a rich blend of culture, spices, adventure, and friends that I will never forget.
Priyanka Surio, University of Miami
During my time in Dublin I learned to be a more independent person, and I know that will help me in the future.
Caitlin Stone, Knox College
It feels like a second home now.
Emily Cable, University of Rhode Island
When I arrived in Dublin, ISA provided me with everything I needed to have the best time abroad. I only wish I could stay longer!
Erin McAleer, Regis University
Studying with ISA was definitely the best decision I made when coming here. They take care of everything from registration to housing, which would be very difficult to do alone. The cultural excursions are great, and you really get a sense of the country's history and culture. Overall I could not have asked for a better experience while studying abroad with ISA.
Joseph Flynn, University of Massachusetts, Lowell
I became highly independent and an all around well formed individual.
Rebecca Haygood, Lycoming College
Immensely enjoyed my time abroad in Ireland. A combination of the people and the culture made Galway the perfect home away from home and I will cherish the four months of memories I made there.
Annie McGuire, Clemson University
This was the best four months of my life. Choosing to study in Ireland was the best decision I have made. The people were so friendly and I got involved in activities here that I would never have tried at home, but now can go home and join them at my home university as well. ISA was extremely helpful in answering any questions I had and the on-site staff were excellent! I would not have traded this experience for anything. Make sure to get involved because that is the easiest way to meet people and try something that you can't do back home, it will be well worth it!
Courtney Glicken, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs
Ireland was amazing. I know it may not sound as exciting as other countries, but it has a lot to offer. The people are friendly, the culture is welcoming, and it's an absolutely gorgeous country. I am so happy that I chose to go to Ireland, and I encourage anyone thinking about studying abroad to consider Ireland as their host country. I also encourage anyone who is thinking of studying abroad to stop thinking and do it! It's a fantastic experience that will be with you for the rest of your life.
Elizabeth Hurd, Saginaw Valley State University
This study abroad experience in Ireland was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It stretched and challenged me in so many ways, but it also has given me hundreds of wonderful memories I know I will never forget for the rest of my life. I am so thankful I chose to study abroad with ISA and broaden my horizons. I would encourage every student to study abroad, it is definitely worthwhile and an amazing experience!
Emily Pratt, University of Northwestern- St. Paul
ISA has a wide range of programs for students to choose from depending on what you're looking for. Their staff is informative, friendly, and understanding. You cannot go wrong with ISA.
Joseph Farias, Texas A&M International University
I was so scared to make this leap, but it ended up being the greatest experience of my life. The people I met and the things I got to do and see is unbelievable. I am going to miss Galway everyday until I make it back again!
Katie Mellott, University of South Carolina
Ireland was the greatest experience of my life. I know I was very lucky to have had so much success but that's what you have to do. Put yourself out there, you are abroad for a reason don't just hang out with Americans you can do that at home. Volunteer, learn, explore and I guarantee you to have a great experience.
Kirsten Corley, The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey
Such a rewarding experience that I will never forget. Not only did I learn about the culture while studying abroad, but I also had the time of my life meeting irreplaceable friends and exploring Europe.
Lauren Volpe, University of Rhode Island
This has been hands down the best experience of my life. I have never felt so close and connected to a group of people than I have to my ISA family. The friends I made which abroad are ones that I hope and believe will last for the rest of my life. Everyday was amazing and beautiful in its own way. I never want to go home!
Lydia Villanova, Lynchburg College
ISA has been extraordinarily helpful in assisting me with preparations for studying abroad in Ireland. The website & student portal are well organized & easy to navigate. Furthermore, the staff that I've encountered are more than pleasant & eager to answer my questions!
Sierra Whitt, Georgia College & State University
Studying abroad with ISA was a great experience that, and I learned a lot from it. I am very happy that I choose ISA to study abroad with because the staff provided a great deal of support, and the organized activities and excursions were an incredible aspect of my trip.
ISA provided a study abroad experience that allowed me to meet other students, be a part of a group, explore parts of Florence and Italy with the group, but also to have my own independent experiences and adventures. It was just the right amount of support and they made everything very easy.
Blair Zimelis, University of Denver
Studying abroad was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. I changed in more ways than I could have ever anticipated and I would recommend this experience and this program to anybody even considering it.
Casie Fitzgerald, The College of New Jersey
I couldn't have asked for a better semester abroad - I was able to have a completely independent experience, meet new people, learn about different cultures, and grow individually. At the same time, the ISA staff was always there and willing to help students whenever needed; I always felt safe and cared for by the staff member.
Chelsea Bokan, Regis University
ISA was a great support group and were there whenever I needed anything. If I was to go abroad again I would definitely go through an ISA program.
Irene Bischofberger, University of Denver
My study abroad experience with ISA was a positive one, allowing me to become more independent in a culture that is not my own, and creating an environment of fun, learning, and adventure away from home.
Christina Berger, Texas A&M University - College Station
If you are on the line of studying abroad and not, do it. And do it in Rome. The ISA staff were friendly and helpful and always willing to help you dive further into the wonderful Italian culture. Along with activities through ISA, AUR also hosted events that were available to us. My memories here will last forever, and ISA will be one of the memories I will think greatly of.
Claire Roeschke, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
ISA has allowed me to enjoy my study abroad experience. I never thought that the staff would be so helpful and that I would feel like such a better person.
Maria Treglia, Manhattan College
My experiences abroad have opened my eyes to a world outside the United States. I was able to travel Italy, some countries in Europe, and spent fall break in Morocco. School work was challenging, but enough to handle during the weekdays in order to enjoy and explore on the weekends. The people I met here will definitely be life long friends and contacts. Unbelievable experience! I've had the time of my life!
Sarah Janas, Ramapo College of New Jersey
While studying in a different culture may test the limits of your patience and tolerance, it will also give you a completely new sense of yourself. Studying abroad with ISA in Italy taught me that I could take a 10-day European adventure on my own, communicate in a language I learned for 4 months, and realize that I make another home apart from the country I'm from.
Tian Sang, Rollins College
The ISA Jordan program is fantastic. Mohammad will take you to eat life changing canafa and falafel on your first day in Jordan, and four months later you'll realize your life really has changed.
Elika Roohi, University of Alaska, Fairbanks
The ISA program in (Amman) provided me with opportunities that I never thought I would experience. The staff, trips, students and people I met made for an unforgettable experience!
Janna Ruedisale, San Diego State University
After studying abroad with ISA, I can not imagine studying abroad with another program because the ISA on-site staff were so helpful and enthusiastic. They are people who go above and beyond to include the students in their lives and to ensure that the students have a smooth transition into the local culture. My experience with ISA was phenomenal and I will recommend it to all future study abroad students that I meet.
Lydia Shippen, University of North Carolina, Wilmington
My experiences with (ISA) were unparalleled. The amount of language I acquired in such a short time was astonishing, and I am so fortunate for how much of the culture I got to experience firsthand.
Ryan Kolter, University of Wisconsin, Whitewater
ISA has the best staff and they go above and beyond their duties to ensure that you are comfortable, happy, and enjoying your stay abroad.
Salam Mustafa, California State University, San Marcos
Living abroad in a country where not many people speak English is challenging, but ultimately rewarding beyond belief. You learn how to communicate and understand people across whatever differences you may have - including culture, language, and background. provided an excellent program and a wonderful opportunity for me to explore a little bit more of the world and both grow and learn so much in the process. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone.
Alexandra Inslee, University of California, San Diego
Morocco is a wonderful place for many different kinds of people and I chose it because I wanted to experience life that was vastly different from the one I grew up in. Not necessarily in the sense of money or food but in culture and lifestyle. What I found here was a culture that I enjoyed and wanted to immerse myself in but also had issues that I fundamentally disagreed with. That was the most valuable part of my study abroad experience: learning that life can exist in many different ways, that there are problems in every society and that its important not to judge a culture from within the confines of your own.
Alexandra Loomis, University of Massachusetts, Amherst
My experiences while in Morocco were unforgettable. Learning about an entirely new culture and being able to practice another language first hand could not have been done back in the US. I never imagined traveling and learning this way could be so easy and fulfilling.
Amanda Stainback, Old Dominion University
I had a wonderful summer in Meknes with ISA: learned a lot of Arabic, drank a lot of tea, made many discoveries, and had an unforgettable experience.
Anne Lewis, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa
I came to Morocco to have the adventure of a lifetime, and I will leave here not only having accomplished that, but with a whole new outlook on the culture, society, and mostly, myself.
Annie Cutler, Kansas State University
An experience like no other! Studying in Meknes was the BEST decision I could have made. The people I met and the places I visited will forever be with me!
Arilene Hernandez, University of Texas - El Paso
It was a study abroad experience that changed the way I see myself in the world.
Benjamin Stracquatanio, The College of New Jersey
Morocco is not your typical study abroad-it will not be easy, every day will be a new challenge but when you figure out how to get through those challenges you'll be a stronger person and you will no doubt grow and learn from your experience here.
Caitlin Boylan, Goucher College
The best semester I have had in three years. The directors are some of the nicest people I know. I would strongly recommend this program.
Eric LaMarche, University of Massachusetts, Amherst
ISA provided me with the tools and guidance to get the most from my experience, without "holding my hand." This has been the best experience of my life - I have been welcomed into a lively, caring Moroccan family, made friends with my professors and other Moroccan students, and got to experience it all with other American students who share the same interests in languages and cultures as I do.
Jennifer Prillaman, Eastern Illinois University
Morocco is a once-in-a-lifetime experience; I learned so much about myself and the world, and the program brought me to life.
Lyndsey Garrett, Arizona State University
Meknes was the perfect place for me to study. Away from all the big tourist cities and a place where I run into familiar faces on the street. The professors care about you and so do ALL the Moroccans around. It was fantastic to be in a place where people are always happy to meet you and welcome you to their home.
Olubukunola Oyewuwo, Texas Tech University
Learn, explore, grow. That is the Meknes way. Don't forget to Morockit like it's hot!
Sarah Little, Southeast Missouri State University
I fell in love with Morocco, the people, the culture, the food, the atmosphere. This was made possible though the ISA staff and the activities and excursions set up for us.
Sarah, Colorado State University
During my time in Belfast, I learned so much about the world. My time abroad has strengthened my desire to travel the world, experience new cultures, and fall further in love with our world and the people that live on it.
Abby Sherriff, Mississippi State University
I could not be more pleased with the people I met here and the experiences I've had! Thank you!!
Anonymous, Texas Tech
I was surprised at how helpful and informative ISA was in my time leading up to study abroad. They even matched me with a vegetarian host family, because I am vegetarian. This has made my worries about what I will be eating so much better!
Brooke Summerfield, Western Washington University
"Studying abroad with ISA was the best choice I could have made and going to Peru was one of the best decisions of my life."
Chelsea Cordle, Rowan College
I am forever changed by Peru.
Hannah Morris, Colorado St.
The ISA Cusco, Peru program is a wonderful opportunity to really learn about Latin American culture. I have been abroad before but have never had such a wonderful cultural learning experience. Living amongst the Peruvian people is truly an honor because I am able to improve my Spanish, see ancient Incan history and traditions, and experience the breathtaking scenery that surrounds not only the city of Cusco, but all of Peru. I would definitely recommend this program if you are looking for a relaxing, simple cultural experience and if you like to learn about the history of an amazingly important country and people (Peruvians and, in particular, the Incans).
Holly Plewa, Saginaw Valley State University
Studying abroad is a once in a lifetime opportunity that you can not pass up. When I studied abroad through ISA I felt like the whole world was open to me and anything was possible. I learned so much in and out of the classroom. Thanks for the great program and the great opportunity.
Tessa Alber, University of Nebraska, Lincoln
ISA is incredible at easing the transition into a foreign country. I feel that every need was taken care of and every question I had was always answered quickly and clearly, whether through email before leaving or in person in the host county. Additionally, the inviting atmosphere and the fun excursions leave nothing more to be desired!
Ashley Woods, Saginaw Valley State University
If you're thinking about possibly going abroad, or even if this is the first time you've ever thought about it, DO IT. It will be one of the most fulfilling life experiences you've ever had.
Brittany Stevenson, College of St. Scholastica
Choosing to study abroad in Lima, Peru was one of the best decisions of my life. The people and culture are amazing and like nothing you have ever experienced. When coming to Peru, you're not just taking classes, you're experiencing a whole new world and learning to understand what it means to be different.
Candice Craig, University of Mayland
Peru rocks! ISA rocks! The entire time here I could only think about how lucky I was to be experiencing so many wonderful and incredible things that I know I would have never experienced elsewhere. This isn't just a study abroad program this is an experience abroad!
Claudia Severino, New Jersey City University
You may be able to learn a lot about a country through reading booking and sitting in a classroom, but going abroad will open your eyes to what culture really means.
Daniel Fink, Washington State University
ISA did it once again! Fully satisfied with my study abroad experience two semesters in a row!
Elaina Montagnino, Seton Hall
On study abroad you can't expect things to turn out exactly as you planned, because you were never expecting an experience this life-changing. The kind, easy-going people, the passionate culture, beautiful excursions, and helpful staff made my experience with ISA in Lima, Peru, unforgettable. As my host-mom, Marilu says, "Nada es imposible en Peru!"
Linsi Phelps, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Studying abroad is the best decision I've ever made! It's impossible to explain how much knowledge I've gained and how much I've changed during this program- it was worth every second and every penny!
Melinda Deinert, University of Nebraska, Lincoln
I enjoyed my time here in Lima; I have learned so much about not only Lima, but about the world, and most of all about myself. This experience has changed my outlook on various topics... I feel like I have changed so much in the last 7 months for the better, and I feel that i am better prepared for the next stage of my life due to what I have learned here.
Rebecca Bigler, Arizona State University, ASU
No study-abroad experience is cookie-cutter - each of us have different schedules, housing preferences, and priorities/goals for our time abroad. ISA staff members understand this and go above and beyond to make sure each of us have the best experience possible!
Sierra Ronhovde, Baker University
Glasgow is an amazing city in a beautiful country! It's very easy to make friends here, and there are plenty of things to experience. I would highly recommend the International Society as it is a great way to meet other international students on campus as well as see many great places throughout Scotland. There are also many societies to join, so you are sure to find one that you like!
Danny Mannix, McKendree University
Could I have doubled my stay through the ISA program, I would have in a heartbeat.
Abby Smith, University of California
Cape Town is unreal. A hidden, beautiful city that's on the verge of exploding... So much to do, so much fun, the only thing you will regret is leaving.
Anonymous, University of Minnesota
Choosing Cape Town is by far the best decision I ever made, and I'd do it again in a heart beat. Be wary to watch your surroundings and learn how to adapt; locals can literally spot an American a mile away from attire alone. There are serious perceptions of Americans built through television and the media and as a study abroad student you actually are representing the States, so make a conscious effort to prove many people wrong. Too many people do not recognize the negative impact they have towards American sentiment by failing to understand this. So really, get to know people and enjoy yourself, Cape Town has now become a second home and it is more than possible with a little bit of effort.
Studying in Cape Town was an incredible experience. Such a vibrant city with a dynamic cultural history, and I learned a ton studying at UCT.
Daniel Lauer, University of Denver
Best experience of my life! I will surely be back to Cape Town.
Elizabeth Cornell, Lehigh University
Cape Town is a beautiful city, which will never cease to amaze you. Although it is hard to make friends with locals, it is very comforting to have made some local friends. Go out and explore! Let your fear go, it's okay to get lost sometimes.
Laura Harris, Mount Holyoke College
I loved every second of my experience and wouldn't have changed anything about this semester. It was truly the best five months of my life. I don't think I've ever gotten so close with such a large group of people so quickly. Everyone on our program become such fast friends and we had more fun than we could have imagined. The memories will last forever, but we are already excited for reunions and fantasizing about our returns to Cape Town.
Maggie Lenah, Trinity College
South Africa had so much to offer that I wish I could have reaped out my soul and left it there as I headed back home.
Rodrigue Lembvem, Case Western University
Cape Town offers everything you could ever want.
Sean Parker, Framingham State University
South Africa is incredibly beautiful in both physical beauty and the warmness of its people. Do all you can to join and really invest in one on campus society so that you can experience South Africans and get to know more about the difficult history and current mindsets. You cannot really say that you studied abroad in South Africa without really engaging in dialogue with its citizens. Many are so willing to speak and welcome you in, so go for it!
Sonia Crosby-Attipoe, University of Denver
Wonderful Experience. Amazing Locals. All around Community. Haven't seen anything like it before. Definitely a significant 4 month life adventure.
Alicia Bauer, Saint Norbert College
My experience at UKZN in Durban was fantastic because it introduced me to a lesser known city of South Africa that is filled with a great mix of new, diverse cultures and fun-filled experiences unique to that area of the country.
Jason Gaines, American University
Going abroad to South Africa opened my eyes to entirely different world. The ISA program gave me just enough independence that I could truly make the most of my time here--including traveling, making friends from around the world, and getting involved in the community.
Sometimes it's good to lose yourself. The person you find may be better than the one you lost. South Africa offers a study abroad opportunity unlike any other. While calling Africa my home for six months, I was exposed to some of the world's fasting growing economies, interesting political systems, non-western ways of thinking, a society advancing from racial inequalities, the most beautiful oceans, mountains, one of the seven wonders of the world, amazing cheap cost of living, and friends from more than 15 countries.
Seoul will teach you everything about the world: wars and history, the future of mankind, and the importance of overcoming cultural barriers. Despite these things, it's also probably the most fun you'll ever have in your young life.
Benjamin Olmstead, Hartwick College
It's hard to describe how invaluable the study abroad experience is because there's no experience like it from home. It exceeding my expectations of growth by far. It was the time of my life.
Charles Izzi, North Carolina State University
This program was amazing; I made great lifetime friends in my host country and met a multicultural group of people. I will definitely recommend this program to everyone and Konkuk University was a great host university.
Esther Appiah, Ohio State University
I never thought that an experience abroad would bring me so much happiness. I have found a second home thanks to ISA! I am a lucky girl.
Hana Bachman, Luther College
ISA gave me the opportunity of my life. Traveling to South Korea has expanded my mind to new ideas, cultures and people. I made friends from all over the world- China, France, Japan, German, etc. Not in a million years, I thought I would be in Korea but thanks to ISA I'm here now.
Jassmin Penado, Austin College
Creating a beautiful life while studying abroad is made even more possible by being in the ISA program.
Jennifer Khang, Concordia University Saint Paul
I have loved my stay in Seoul as part of the ISA program here in South Korea. Konkuk University is one of the most beautiful campuses I have been on, and the city itself is just wonderful. The care and attention given by the ISA staff, both in Korea and in North America, has been very helpful during the whole process. This experience has given me the chance to visit a country I have wanted to see for a long time, and I have made memories here that will be with me forever.
Jennifer Truxillo, University of Houston
ISA not only gave me the chance to learn more about my heritage, but to make great friends and awesome memories.
Jennifer Wick, Salisbury State University
Studying abroad is a chance that every young person should take in their lives to learn about themselves but also to gain perspective on the immense and varied world around us. ISA offers the guidance and support to make the many challenges of such an experience easier to handle and overall is a program I would encourage those interested in studying abroad to look into.
Kelly Ross, Clark College
I find nothing more rewarding than to go to a different country and just adapt to my surroundings. ISA helped me to grow as a person and be confident in my future career path abroad. I learned new things not only about Korea, but also about myself that I will carry with me the rest of my life.
Mary Schwark, Bradley University
Seoul is a modern city with all the conveniences you could imagine with a history that has magically been incorporated into it's modern culture. Take advantage of that and the fact that you may find you like it better than home. There is always something new and interesting everywhere you go!
Petra Kalkofen, Marymount California University
If I had the chance to go back in time before my semester-stay in Korea, I would still choose ISA. This experience has been amazing, and I would not change anything about it. The people, the country, and all I have done thus far will remain close in my heart.
Samantha Marquez, Austin College
Seoul is a culturally rich city and it spread though out the country, where history is just around the corner. It is a city of vibrant colors and people. Seoul truly is a city that never sleeps!
Sarah Dixon, Campbellsville University
The words Barcelona, Spain will never have the same meaning again. To some, they are only the name of a city and country in Europe. To me: they represent the cliche quote of "the best time of my life". A time where I was able to break away from all the fears that kept me from my own personal growth. They perfectly embody the departure of my journey to becoming who I want to be in the future. A strong, independent, and well prepared student and professional. Barcelona has marked my life forever. Amo Barcelona! Amo a Espana! Vale tio!
Ana Flores, Our Lady of Lakes University
I feel like I have grown so much as a person on this trip! I have learned so much about another culture and people around the world, while also learning about myself. This trip has been life-changing and I made friends I know I will have for life. It has really taught me how to appreciate other cultures and has opened my eyes to what else is out there in the world. I am so grateful to have experienced such an amazing trip.
Erin Kennedy, Arizona State University
From the very beginning, I felt very well taken care of by ISA. I honestly had one of the greatest experiences of my life abroad and ISA was a huge part of that.
Hillary May, Clemson University
ISA was just who they promised to be. They are an intelligently designed and managed organization that truly care for their students and go to all lengths to make sure that you feel comfortable and informed at all times!
Kristina Michael, University of Louisville
Studying abroad in Barcelona was the best way to become not only more internationally aware, but also more cultured and independent. You only live once and you're only young once; take advantage of this opportunity and let it be the most rewarding part of your college experience!
Laura Weiss, University of California - San Diego
Coming abroad you are thrust into a completely new atmosphere. Something I really loved about ISA was that they helped you through every step of the process; from applying and getting there to transportation and leaving at the end. They're there for you from start to finish. The staff are great and the combination between the cultural activities and the excursions really provide the most enriching experience. No other program can compare. If I study abroad again, ISA is my sure choice!
Laurel Bonfiglio, Grand Valley State University
I had the greatest four months of my life in Barcelona, I gained lifelong friends, unsurpassable experiences and memories to last a lifetime. Barcelona changed my life.
Madlyn Friedenfeld, University of Kansas
ISA made it possible for me to go to a foreign country where I didn't speak the language and live with a local family, travel throughout the major cities of the country, and really gain an understanding of a culture that I never would have been able to understand as fully on my own.
Michael Couch, Butler University
My experience abroad has changed my life for the better. I know that those were the best four months of my life, and now I can use this experience to make me grow even more as a person as I move on in life.
Nicoletta Shanos, University of Maine
When I arrived in Barcelona, I came by myself, not knowing anyone and I'm now leaving with a family including ISA, students from all around the world, and everyone I met along the way. I've grown to become an open-minded and independent individual. I now have priceless memories and stories that will last a lifetime. I will always have a special place in my heart for Barcelona and I know I will be back here again. Gracias por todo y nos vemos pronto!
Rachel Lawless, University of Mary Washington
Studying abroad with ISA has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. My host family was phenomenal, the staff was extremely helpful, and the city was beautiful! I wish I could stay longer!
Allison Hoefener, The College of New Jersey
The excursions were great, they were the most fun part because I got to know everyone in my group very well and I didn't have to worry about planning any transportation or hotels. I got to learn all about the cities from someone who actually knew where to go and what to do.
Annie Rouse, University of Kentucky
Bilbao is a great city that's a bit off-the-map and helps students see another side of Spain. The Basque country is a unique part of Spain that offers experiences other cities can't offer.
Armen Kagodorian, University of California, Irvine
ISA has gone above and beyond my expectations to provide me with all of the necessary materials and information for my trip. They are willing to answer any and all of the questions I have about literally anything regarding the program, excursions, classes, housing arrangements...ect. I am so grateful for such a knowledgeable and friendly staff!
Austin Leffel, Colorado State University
Studying abroad is really the experience of a life time. It may sound cliche but it's the truth. I have seen more things in the 3 months that I have been in Europe than most people would get to see in a life time. Not to mention that life long friends and connections that I have made. This one decision of choosing to study abroad changed my entire life.
Jeremy Jennings, Kean University
I loved studying abroad. Being away from home is very difficult but living in Europe provides access to the entire continent of Europe. There is always something to do or something to see that is loaded with history and culture. I feel that in my 4 months in Bilbao, I matured as a person and challenged myself by living out of my element and becoming accustomed to an entirely different culture.
Jeremy Pickett, University of California, Santa Barbara
My semester in Bilbao was amazing! It is such a unique city with so much to do. There is always something going on to get involved in.
Megan Walters, Flagler College
The people you meet, the places you go, and the experiences you have in ISA are worth every penny you spend.

Robert Andrews, Emory and Henry College
"Not only did studying in Spain give me an authentic and exotic view of life outside the US, but also a clearer understanding on where I am and where I'd like to be."
Robert DuBois, University of Northern Colorado

Bartley Hagerman, Miami University of Ohio

ISA was a great resource. If I ever needed anything, I knew who I could go to and that that I would get the help I needed. At the same time, they don't hold your hand through the whole experience. They let you explore and discover things for yourself. I think the balance ISA provided of independence and providing a home base was perfect for my first extended stay abroad.

My experience abroad... How can I put it into words? There is no way to describe the experience I had. I have met some wonderful people abroad and have made some lifelong friends. Living with my host parents has been the best experience. I have enjoyed living like a Spaniard and feeling like I am at home here. Volunteering here has also showed me more of the Spanish culture. Overall, not only is the city amazing to explore, but getting to know the people of Sevilla that I have been surrounded with has been incredible too. I would not change anything about my experience: not the city I chose, the home stay I was in, or the program I went with. I loved everything, thank you ISA!!!
Anonymous, Colorado State University
Sevilla is a beautiful, captivating city that with surprise you daily! I absolutely LOVED studying in this gorgeous city. The people are so welcoming and so rich in culture. To put the experience into words that do it justice is a task too impossible, so I would leave it at this: I wouldn't change my experience abroad for anything.
