Lauren graduated from Southwestern University with a BA in Political Science and Communication Studies. While attending SU, she completed a Peace and Conflict study in Ireland that culminated in an intensive research project analyzing various political campaigns in the Northern Ireland parliamentary elections. Lauren's time in Ireland solidified her love for travel, cultural immersion, and all things Irish. After graduating and spending a year in Austin, Lauren moved to Garmisch, Germany and began working at a youth center on a US military base located in the heart of the Bavarian Alps. After two years of snow skiing and traveling Europe extensively, Lauren returned to Texas and started a career with ISA as the Academic Affairs Representative.
