    Course Description
    The course aims at providing an insight of legal issues in arts and media management. Students will learn about artists’ rights such as copyright, moral rights, and the right of re-sale. They will be led to explore court cases revolving around copyright infringement, freedom of expression and its limitations, provenance.

    Course Learning Outcomes
    Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

    • Understand the legal notions of intellectual property rights.
    • Review contracts involving artists and cultural organizations.
    • Gain a working knowledge of the most significant legal issues surrounding arts.
