Renewable Energy

Interns will choose a project to collaborate on which may include feasibility studies of bio-gas generation by seaweed or studies of waste to energy conversion, among others, to assess environmental impacts and the potential generation of energy. Intern may assist in designing devices to recover and recycle materials in local communities, designing reactors to produce energy using seaweed for local communities, or designing of combustion devices. Biomedical Research

Intern will assist in the collaborate effort to develop an autonomous, portable and modular device that could be use for remote diagnostics which will be designed and tested for terrestrial and aquatic applications using both protein based and nucleic amplification based techniques.

Physics Research

Work on a project in co-evolving networks by studying contagion dynamics by working with a team to use both real networks as well as simulations to study dynamical features. The intern will work with programs to calculate network measures and to implement numerical simulations. *Please note research projects are constantly changing


Intern with a cutting-edge research center focusing on the investigation of key themes of modern biotechnology and bioengineering, including important applications in industry. Among internship objectives are the development of practical applications where Chile has significant comparative advantages.
