Glasgow is Scotland's most populous city and located along the River Clyde. It is well known for its friendly residents, latest fashions, local music scene and beautiful parks. It boasts the largest student population in Scotland and provides activities for all types of students. With its impressive Victorian buildings, vibrant theatre life and array of restaurants students find themselves encouraged to always try something new in this dynamic city.

By studying abroad at the University of Glasgow, students are given the opportunity to interact with students from over 120 different countries and choose from a wide range of offered subjects. It is Scotland's second oldest university and fourth in the U.K. In 2014, the city of Glasgow will be the proud host of the Commonwealth Games and aside from the city's great passion in sport it was also named a UNESCO City of Music. It addition, Glasgow has one of the largest shopping centres just behind London. With all of these attributes combined, Glasgow proves to be an attractive study abroad option for the adventurous at heart.
