In addition to classes, the ISA staff organizes meetings to monitor students' progress and discuss the week's itinerary, including cultural activities and excursions.
Classes are held Monday through Friday with morning and/or afternoon sessions.
Two to three mandatory cultural activities are organized each week of the program and are designed to help students experience Salamanca. Below is a list of cultural activities the ISA staff in Salamanca has organized in the past.
- Guided tour of the Salamanca Cathedral
- Flamenco Class
- Guided tour of the University of Salamanca's historic buildings
- Futbol or volleyball
- Tour of the Contemporary Art Museum (DA2)
- Paddle boat tour
- Cooking class
During each week and on some weekend days students will have free time to explore Salamanca on their own. The ISA staff provides students with suggested activties to help learn more about their host city and culture.
Weekend excursions provide student the opportunity to observe and learn about the culture and history of neighboring cities and surrounding areas.
