Students fly into Madrid where they meet the ISA resident staff and the rest of the group upon arrival. Over the next three days, the group participates in a pre-program excursion with visits in Madrid and Toledo while also attending on-site orientations. During the orientations, the ISA staff discusses Spain’s history and culture, what to expect while living with a homestay, the academic program and adjusting to daily life in Sevilla. After arriving in the city, students meet their homestay, visit the ISA on-site office, take a language placement exam administered by the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) and begin classes.
