The following is a list of scholarships offered by ISA's host universities abroad. These scholarships are not administered by ISA and therefore may differ in terms of award amount, eligibility, deadline dates and refund method. The majority of these scholarship opportunities are for Master's Degree students only. Those available to undergraduates have been clearly noted. Please consult each university's website for further information.
The Continuing Education Institute Private Foundation-UPF (IDEC in Spanish) Scholarship program is geared toward helping talented candidates with limited resources to access Barcelona School of Management MSC degrees of at least 60 ECTS credits. Criteria include strong undergraduate academic preparation, outstanding personal qualities and, where possible, a track record of professional or pre-professional talent as demonstrated outside the classroom with appropriate work experience. Social commitment and community involvement can also be taken into consideration. The scholarships cover 25% or 50% of the master's degree tuition. For a limited number of candidates who can prove extreme financial need, the scholarship can be increased an additional 25%.
The Merit Scholarship is targeted at MSC candidates who are able to prove a high academic performance within their fields of study. In order to apply for the MSc Merit Scholarship, students must fulfill the following application requirements:
The UPF Partner Universities Scholarship is targeted at MSc candidates who have graduated from any of the UPF's partner universities, which include the following: University of Denver, University of Kentucky, Texas A&M, University of Texas- Arlington, University of Illinois, University of Chicago, University of California, Northwestern University, Duke University, University of North Carolina, University of Richmond, Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper Business School, Brown University, Wellesley College, Boston College, Portland Community College, and University of Arizona. If you are already a graduate or will soon graduate from one of these universities, contact ISA to confirm your eligibility for special tuition discounts on UPF master's degrees. Master of Science Scholarships must be applied for as a process separate from program admission, though decisions are often made at the same time as admissions decisions. Those granted the Partner Universities Scholarship are eligible for up to 20% fee reduction.
The bursary will be offered to the strongest full-time applicant to our MA in Early Modern History who is not in receipt of any other funding.
Applicants for Chevening Scholarships must have completed at least two years' work or equivalent experience before applying for a Chevening Scholarship. Awards are typically for a one-year Master's degree, in any subject and at any of the UK's leading universities.
The Friends of King's College London Associate Scholarship (USA) award provides support to a candidate from the USA who wishes to undertake a one year full-time Postgraduate Taught Masters (PGT) program at King's College London.
The Graduate School at King's College London is offering up to 6 scholarships to international students who wish to pursue a full-time postgraduate Master's degree program in any discipline at King's College London.
The Graduate School at King's College London is offering up to 10 scholarships to international students who wish to pursue a full-time postgraduate Master's or MPhilStud degree program in any discipline at King's College London commencing.
Santander Scholarships will offer funds to students wishing to undertake a one-year full-time Taught Master's Program at King's College London. These funds will be made available by Banco Santander to students from a list specific countries, one of which is the USA.
Five awards are available each semester in the amounts of £2,500 and £3,500.
Twelve Summer School scholarships are available to cover full tuition fees. Students must have received an offer of place on the Summer School program to be eligible for this award.
The United States Naval Academy (USNA) and the King's College London have recently entered into an agreement to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of education and promoting stronger ties between the two institutions to increase the financial support available for graduate studies of USNA students. As part of this King's is offering a scholarship to USNA students to undertake a master's program at King's.
Established in 1998 and open to all academic fields of study. The first group of Mitchell Scholars began their studies in Ireland and Northern Ireland in autumn 2000, in the seven universities in the Republic and the two universities in Northern Ireland, for one academic year of postgraduate study. The universities are contributing tuition and room for the Scholar. In addition, each Scholar will receive a stipend of $11,000 to cover other necessary expenses for the term of study.
To apply for this scholarship you must 1) be an international student holding the offer of a place on a one-year taught master's degree at the University of Reading, and 2) be able to demonstrate that you have made adequate provision for your living expenses. Students who have overcome adversity should include any relevant information about this with their application. Any evidence that shows a student is an exceptionally good candidate should also be included. The amount of the each scholarship is £5,000.
International students who have a disability and who have already enrolled at the University of Reading can apply for a maximum of £2,500 towards tailored support to meet financial costs or debts arising as a direct result of your disability. Students should be able to show they have exhausted all other options for financial support.
Available to International Postgraduate Taught students with an offer for a full-time Master's programme. Students of all subjects, apart from courses run by the Henley Business School, are eligible. In order to be considered for this Fund you should be wholly or partially self-funded, intending to register to start your studies in the 2014/5 academic year, and be from one of the following countries/areas: Latin America, Commonwealth of Independent States, India, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Vietnam, Turkey, or Jordan.
All eligible postgraduate students from outside the UK or EU whose entry qualifications are assessed as especially high will receive a substantial award from the Vice Chancellor's International Scholarship Scheme.
The scholarships are available to academically excellent students from both within and outside the UK to follow a program of study at the University of Roehampton. The Scholarship will usually consist of the tuition fee and free or subsidized accommodation on the University of Roehampton campus.

Four Whitelands bursaries are offered to students who have a talent for sport and are studying an academic course or living in Whitelands College.
The University of Westminster has a long history of welcoming students from the USA. The University now boasts a wide network of highly successful USA alumni who have taken their skills and experience onto a global platform in countries all over the world. Full tuition fee award. You must be a student from the United States of America and hold an offer for a full-time Master's degree at the University. Criteria: Minimum 3.3 GPA and financial need.
The University offers a number of full and half tuition fee scholarships if you are an exceptionally well-qualified student, including those from the USA. Criteria are academic qualifications and financial need.
Westminster Business School is one of London's leading centers for business education. Full tuition award. You must hold an offer for any full-time Master's degree, excluding the MBA, within Westminster Business School. Criteria are academic qualifications and financial need.
The unique Writing the City Master's course is the first to focus entirely on the city of London. You must hold an offer for a full-time Creative Writing: Writing the City MA degree at the University. Criteria are academic qualifications and financial need.
These new scholarships are in recognition of the University's close ties with countries across the globe. This is a half (50 per cent) tuition fee award. Students from the USA who hold an offer for a full-time master's degree at the University are eligible. Criteria are academic qualifications and financial need.
