Students may choose between the following Program Terms:

Business, Hospitality, Design & Courses with Locals- Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) - Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE)

The Business, Hospitality, Design & Courses with Locals semester program is open to students at all language levels and offers Spanish language courses and a variety of courses with locals instructed in English and Spanish. Students who have not completed a semester/quarter of college-level Spanish or the equivalent must choose language as one of their courses.

Courses in English are primarily related to Business. Students who place into the advanced Spanish language level have the opportunity to enroll in courses with locals instructed in Spanish in a variety of disciplines, such as Design, Hospitality, Engineering, Business, and Social Sciences.

Please note that courses taken at the Argentine Institute of Gastronomy (IAG) require additional fees, and are located off UADE's campus.

Students enrolling in Spanish language courses will take a placement exam onsite to determine course eligibility.

Courses with Locals in Multiple Disciplines - Universidad de Belgrano (UB) - Universidad de Belgrano

Students at the high advanced level of the Spanish language (5 or more semesters of college-level Spanish) will take courses with local students at the University of Belgrano. Students will have an academic orientation before making their final course selections at the University of Belgrano.

Students have the opportunity to enroll in any course from the regular course listing at the Universidad de Belgrano. These courses will be taken alongside Argentine students and are taught by Argentine faculty. Students are also able to enroll in courses offered in the Latin American Studies program (as listed under the Semester/Year 2 programs) but they must complete one course with local students throughout the semester. The courses from the Latin American Studies program are specifically designed for foreign students and the language of instruction is Spanish English and classes are taken alongside international students.

Students who do not wish to enroll in at least one course with local students must switch to the Latin American Studies program.

*Please be aware that some courses with Argentine students are offered only during specific semesters, and often change due to course schedule conflicts, enrollment, etc. While ISA makes every effort to maintain a current course list on the ISA website, course enrollment cannot be guaranteed until students arrive onsite. If you must take specific courses with locals for graduation, please contact your Site Specialist to check on the likelihood that they will be offered during your specific term abroad.

Students may also add an Intensive Month to a Semester/Year program. Contact the ISA office for further details.
