This program is designed for students at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of the Spanish language.
Spring students will take a total of 384 hours and have the opportunity to progress through 3 consecutive levels. The Spring program is open to beginning, intermediate, and high intermediate students.
Fall students will have the opportunity to progress through two consecutive levels of Spanish language, each level being worth 126 hours of instruction, totaling 252 hours for the semester. The Fall program is open to all levels of Spanish speakers.
Students will participate in courses offered at University of Belgrano's language department that focus on Spanish grammar, conversation, and culture. Students will be in class with Americans and other international students.
All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Buenos Aires. The exam will indicate each student's language proficiency level, and will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll.
Students who arrive in Argentina having completed less than one year of college-level Spanish will likely place into beginning level. Students who arrive in Argentina having completed one full year of college-level Spanish will likely place into the intermediate-level courses.
