Students may choose between the following Program Terms:
Spanish Language & Latin American Studies - University of Belgrano
The Spanish Language & Latin American Studies summer program at the University of Belgrano allows students at the high intermediate and advanced Spanish language levels to select from Spanish language at the high intermediate or advanced level as well as four upper division survey courses in Latin American Studies. All students will enroll in two courses during this five-week summer program.
Intensive Spanish Language - University of Belgrano
This program is designed for students at the beginning, intermediate, high intermediate and advanced levels of the Spanish language.
Students will participate in courses offered at University of Belgrano's language department that focus on Spanish grammar, conversation, and culture. Students will be in class with Americans and other international students.
All students must take an online Spanish language placement exam administered by the University of Belgrano prior to departing for Buenos Aires. The exam will indicate each student's language proficiency level, and will determine the course in which the student is eligible to enroll.
Students who have completed less than one year of college-level Spanish typically place into beginning level. Students who have completed one full year of college-level Spanish typically place into the intermediate-level courses. Students with three semesters typically place into the high intermediate level, and students who have completed 4 or more semesters typically place into the advanced level.
Gap students are also eligible for this program.
