ISA Canberra summer students participate in a unique 3 week traveling program allowing for the opportunity to explore aspects of Australia's sporting industry from both a professional and recreational perspective. This program provides students with the opportunity to observe and participate in activities that combine both theoretical and practical knowledge of Australian sport. Students will gain coaching advice, increase their marketing skills by marketing sports the Australian way, along with gaining an insight on nutrition, sports research, psychology, and human movement and fitness. The program is conducted by the University of Canberra and taught in English by host university professors.

Highlights of this Program Include:
  • Stops in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Blue Mountains, and Cairns
  • Experience life at the Australian Institute of Sport, a world-clas sporting facility where national and international athletes train.
  • Variety of activities including snorkeling, whitewater rafting, Rugby and AFL games, Great Ocean Road tour, Aboriginal park visit, and holding a koala
  • Open to students of all majors
  • Housing: Students stay in a combination of hotels and hostels
  • Worth 2 course credits; 6-8 US credits
