Housing Information

Housing is provided on all ISA programs in the Pacific region, at an additional cost. There are a range of housing options and costs vary according to host university, accommodation selected and session. Please review the details within your chosen program session.

A Housing Commitment Fee of $1,000 must be paid by the Final Forms and Payment due date. This fee is nonrefundable after the payment due date and is applied to overall housing costs. The total housing cost will be billed 3-4 weeks prior to the program's departure, once a housing assignment has been allocated.

ISA Housing provides the opportunity for students to experience aspects of the Australian lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor of Australia. The experience of living in another culture will be both educational and rewarding so long as you stay open-minded and reasonable at all times. There are many differences in culture and lifestyle between life in Australia and the U.S. Remember: the key to a positive experience is flexibility. With this in mind, you can become a true Aussie!

Bond University
Students who are attending Bond University have 3 ISA housing options to select from; on campus dorm with meals, off campus apartment or luxury beach apartment. Students living in the on campus dorms will be placed in either a shared bedroom with ensuite bathroom or a single bedroom with a shared, corridor bathroom. These students receive a dining balance which they are able to use at a number of eateries on campus. The meal plan is an on-campus living requirement and is included for students placed in on-campus dorms.

Bond University participants may also be placed in one of two different apartment-style accommodations. The "off campus, no meals" placement is a single, studio apartment located in a student accommodation complex within easy walking distance of campus. Placements may also be within the "luxury beach, no meals" accommodation. This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment shared between 4 ISA students attending Bond University. It is conveniently located near public transit routes, and is just steps from Gold Coast's 'Broadbeach.'

See the ISA Gold Coast Google Map in the Culture Corner section for a visual on the location of each of the housing options.

A $500-$800 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living in ISA arranged housing. ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in case of damage to property, or if utility usage exceeds the allotted monthly amount.

Griffith University
Griffith University students have two apartment-style ISA housing options to choose from; "on campus, no meals" or "luxury beach, no meals." Students allocated to the "on campus, no meals" accommodation will be in a single bedroom within a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom, co-ed flat, located within walking distance of campus. Participants may also be placed in the "luxury beach, no meals" apartment; a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment shared between 4 ISA students attending Griffith University. This accommodation is just steps from the Gold Coast's 'Broadbeach,' and is conveniently located near public transit routes.

See the ISA Gold Coast Google Map in the Culture Corner section for a visual on the location of each of the housing options.

A $500 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living in ISA arranged housing. ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in case of damage to property, or if utility usage exceeds the allotted monthly amount.

Independent Housing
Students may opt to secure housing independently. Students who select this option will be responsible for their own housing during the program and will forgo any ISA assistance for housing matters.
