Vesalius College

Vesalius College is a liberal arts college that maintains a humanistic approach to teaching and learning with an emphasis on critical thinking and multiculturalism. Recognized for outstanding programs for international students in English, Vesalius also places students in internships at businesses, NGOs, and governmental organizations around Brussels.

Founded in 1988, Vesalius is a private English language college with close ties to the VUB - the Dutch Free University in Brussels. Vesalius is located directly next to the VUB and students are encouraged to take advantage of the many resources the VUB has to offer such as cafeterias, student cafes, sporting facilities, and more. Additionally, Vesalius has a strong focus on student life and has a very active student government as well as many clubs and organizations that ISA students are encouraged to join.

With a student body of about 400, around 2/3 of the students studying at Vesalius are international students, providing a diverse and unique student population. Vesalius College offers three majors: Communications, International Affairs, and International Business. ISA students are able to enroll in any courses offered at the college granted they meet any pre-requisites.

Additionally, Vesalius organizes internships for college credit which ISA students are able to apply for. Internships are typically available through a wide range of international organizations located in Brussels such as the EU, European Parliament, NGOs, law offices, multinational businesses, marketing, accounting, public relations firms, and more.
