Orientation InformationPre-Departure OrientationOn-Site OrientationParticipants will be greeted upon arrival at the Hercílio Luz International airport in Florianópolis by the ISA resident staff. From there they will be taken to a hotel in downtown Florianópolis to meet fellow program participants and relax for the night. The following day students will enjoy a typical Brazilian breakfast to start off the ISA orientation. As part of the orientation, students will receive an introduction to Brazilian society and culture, take a tour of the city, and learn about what it's like to live in Florianópolis. Resident staff will also introduce students to the academic portion of the program, including reviewing students' course selections and helping them to prepare for the placement exam if they are taking a Portuguese language course. ![]() |
