Academic Information

The Business and Culture in English & Spanish Language program is designed for students at all levels of Spanish proficiency. All courses are taught at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez by local university professors. ISA participants take classes alongside other international students.

Please note that a student visa is required for all ISA Chile semester programs. Please reference the Student Visa & Embassy page for more information. Applying for a visa could require out of state travel.

Semester + Semester Programs Available:
Students may participate in the Spring + Fall OR the Fall + Spring sessions of this program by selecting their two semesters of interest when submitting the initial ISA online application. For more information about this option, please contact your Chile Site Specialist.

Service-Learning Information

In addition to their academic courses, students will have the opportunity to spend 5-10 hours per week at a host organization, increasing language proficiency and gaining valuable international experience. Placements are arranged prior to arrival in the host country and language requirements vary. Visit the ISA Service-Learning website for more information on placement opportunities.

Service-Learning placements are coordinated by ISA and have no affiliation with the university. Students will develop a Portfolio throughout the program, documenting their projects, hours, and program activities.

Students can earn 1-6 credits based on the number of contact hours accrued at the host organization and successful completion of the Portfolio. Visit the Academic Credit page of the ISA Service-Learning website for more information.

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
