Courses with Locals in Multiple Disciplines - Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso -Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso

The Courses with Locals in Multiple Disciplines program allows students at the advanced or higher Spanish proficiency level to enroll in courses with local Chilean students. Students can choose from a wide range of courses that fall under the host university's curriculum. Students who do not wish to enroll in at least one course with locals, will be required to switch to the Spanish Language & Chilean Culture program.

All courses are taught at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso by local university professors. ISA participants take classes alongside Chilean and other international students.

Program Highlights:

  • Urban style campus right across from the ISA Valparaíso office.
  • Popular Subjects: Business, Literature, Social Sciences, Latin American Studies.
  • Required to enroll in one course, at minimum, with locals.

Please note that a student visa is required for all ISA Chile semester programs. Please reference the Student Visa & Embassy page for more information. Applying for a visa could require out of state travel.

Semester + Semester Programs Available: Students may participate in the Spring + Fall OR the Fall + Spring sessions of this program by selecting their two semesters of interest when submitting the initial ISA online application. For more information about this option, please contact your Chile Site Specialist.


Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

Students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of four semesters (six quarters) of college-level Spanish.
