Students may choose between the following Program Terms:
ISA Service-Learning was created to propel students beyond the original confines of the classroom by providing opportunities to work at local organizations. These programs address the needs of the community and organization abroad while encouraging personal and professional growth, developing language proficiency and facilitating meaningful community engagement. During this program, participants will not attend classes, but will serve 15-35 hours per week at a local organization. All participants will develop a Portfolio throughout the program which includes reflective essays, group discussions, logs of hours, a supervisor evaluation and a certificate of completion.
Participants can earn 1-6 credits based on the number of contact hours accrued at the host organization and successful completion of the Portfolio. Visit the ISA Service-Learning website for more information about earning.
