Amy Zhang is originally from Jiangsu Province where she studied English and Japanese at Xuzhou Normal University. After finishing her degree, she moved to Shanghai to teach Chinese at the SMIC Private School, a new and highly innovative K-12 school founded by the largest semiconductor manufacturer in China. After four years at SMIC, Tsinghua University recruited Amy to develop the Mandarin Language program at the new Tsinghua International School (THIS) in Beijing. At THIS, she both designed the curriculum and taught Mandarin Language classes to foreign students of all ages. Her experience in working in a multi-cultural setting and specifically working with students from all parts of the world has prepared her well for her current position at ISA.
