The Casa Verde field station works in conjunction with the Latin American University of Science and Technology (ULACIT) to provide a collaboration of intercontinental talents in the fields of Environmental Sciences.

ULACIT was founded in 1987. The university is well-reputed due to the high standards held for attending students. Instructors from ULACIT teach and live on the grounds of the Casa Verde Field Research Station. The center combines the expertise of university professors with the unique research and educational opportunities which the Casa Verde station facilitates.
