This program is designed for students at all levels of the Spanish language who wish to increase their Spanish proficiency with particular focus on health care and medical terminology. During this 5 week program students will participate in an 80 hour intensive Spanish for Health Professionals course which combines classroom work with hands-on communication experience. Students will also complete an elective in English related to a health care topic.

Please note that students who wish to take ONLY the 80 hour Spanish for Health Professionals course should enroll in the ISA Summer 3 program.

During this eight-week summer program, ISA students will have the unique opportunity to complete an internship in a variety of fields for academic credit through Veritas University. The internship requires 192 hours and students will receive approximately 3 semester credits after successful completion of the internship. Students must place into the advanced Spanish level by the time the internship begins.

During the internship, students will be evaluated by a Veritas University faculty member and will have to complete presentations and reflections on the experience.

During the Spanish Language & Latin American Culture program students will complete one 80 hour course per summer session. Most courses focus on Spanish language instruction, but there are also several courses designed for more advanced Spanish students. Summer 3 offers Spanish for Health Professionals which is available only to students who are majoring in one of the following areas: pre-med, nursing, pharmacy, microbiology, and other health professions. Classes are at Veritas University with American and other international students.

This program is open to Gap Year Students.

This program offers courses at the intermediate and advanced levels. This program is ideal for students who need to complete a full 90 hours of instruction in order to earn six credit hours or nine quarter units at their home university. Students may conveniently select from two sets of dates. Classes are taught at the Universidad Latina, San Pedro with other international students.

This program is open to all levels of Spanish speakers. Students will choose one language course and one elective taught either in English or in Spanish. All classes are at Veritas University and are taught by host university faculty. Classmates are other international students.
