Service Learning/Internship

Experiential Learning Abroad Programs (ELAP), the service learning and internship division of International Studies Abroad (ISA), offers structured service learning and internship placements year-round, in a variety of fields, yielding valuable personal and professional experience.

ELAP is an enriching experience for students who are seeking to contribute to an organization's responsibilities and mission while simultaneously learning about themselves in an unfamiliar, and at times, challenging environment. In addition to working in a host organization, students will develop an ELAP Portfolio throughout the program, documenting their projects, hours, and program activities. Programs are offered in the following countries: Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Morocco, Peru, South Korea, and Spain.

Custom

ISA Custom Programs are developed in partnership with U.S. universities to offer students unique course options. Cultural activities and excursions, program dates and duration, and academics vary by program. Studying abroad with U.S. university students and faculty fosters a cohesive group dynamic with additional support of ISA staff in the U.S. and abroad.
