Tenorio Volcano Overview

Tenorio Volcano National Park boasts the beauty of primary cloud and rain forests, a wealth of biodiversity, and the azure blue waters of Rio Celeste. The local wildlife includes peccaries, tapirs, pumas, turkeys and monkeys. Burbling hot springs and natural thermal baths are fueled by Tenorio Volcano, and an ethereal waterfall is a short stroll from the volunteer center.

The park is part of the protected area of the Guanacaste Volcano Range, and is located between the provinces of Guanacaste and Alajuela.
