On this excursion we will travel to the town of Windsor, an unparished area in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. It is widely known as the site of Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of the British Royal Family. Windsor Castle itself is the oldest continuously used royal residence in the world, and was first established in 1070 when William the Conqueror built a mote-and-bailey castle on the site. Her majesty the Queen's standard flies from the Round Tower when she is here in residence.
