The town of Windsor is home to the Queen's residence, Windsor Castle; the world's oldest inhabited castle. In fact, Queen Elizabeth II spends many weekends here, preferring to host both state and private banquets at the castle instead of at Buckingham Palace. The tour of the castle offers views of gradens, royal burial sites, and state rooms and corridors filled with suits of armor and remnants of ancient battles. Outside the castle grounds, take a walk around the quaint town and enjoy lunch in one of Windsor's many charming cafes and tea houses.
