ISA Housing provides the opportunity for students to experience aspects of the Fiji lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor of Fiji. All ISA Housing options are either within walking distance or conveniently located to public transit routes. Travel times to the various university buildings generally range between five and ten minutes depending on housing and class locations.
ISA students studying at the University of the South Pacific have the opportunity to live in on-campus, self-catered accommodation, which is maintained by the university. The apartment-style dorms are self-catering, single-sex, fully furnished, air-conditioned units with two to four single-occupancy bedrooms, common living spaces, kitchens, and shared bathrooms. Linens and towels are included, and laundry facilities are available on-site. All units have WiFi, though the internet can be somewhat unreliable.
The experience of living in another culture will be both educational and rewarding so long as you stay open-minded and reasonable at all times. There are differences in culture and lifestyle between life in Fiji and the U.S. Remember: the key to a positive experience is flexibility.
