Also known as Palais Garnier, the Opéra Garnier is an artistic and architectural landmark of Paris. Designed and built during the Second French Empire, this opera house is the site of many famed performances and even legends. It is here that the "Phantom of the Opera" resides in the subterranean lake over which the opera house was built.
