Business, Culture & French Language - The American Business School Paris -The American Business School Paris

This Business, Culture & French Language program offers students the opportunity to take business and culture courses taught in English with the added option of French language instruction. The program is a perfect match for students who wish to prepare for a successful international business career in one of the most exciting and dynamic cities in the world.

During the program, students may choose one of two course options:

Option 1: 2 Business/Culture Courses
Option 2: 1 Business/Culture Course + 1 French Language Course

Business and Culture Courses:
Business and elective courses are held at the main campus of the American Business School Paris and are taught by host university faculty and visiting U.S. faculty. While the program is open to international students, the vast majority of the participants are North American.

French Language Courses:
French language courses are available to students from all language backgrounds, from the true beginning (débutant) to the superior (supérieur) language levels. Through a pre-departure online placement exam, students will be placed into the most appropriate French language course to foster their linguistic growth. Courses target the competencies of written and verbal communication and comprehension. These classes are comprised of international students from every corner of the world, providing students with distinct perspectives and environments from which to learn. All French courses are taught in French by host university faculty at the Institut Catholique de Paris in its Institut de Langue et de Culture Française (ILCF).

Transcripts for this program are issued by the American Business School Paris and by the Institut Catholique de Paris. Students selecting Option 1 will receive a transcript from the American Business School Paris. Students selecting Option 2 will receive two transcripts, one from the American Business School Paris and one from the Institut Catholique de Paris.

While, most universities will accept the official transcript issued by the American Business School Paris (ABSP) for coursework taken abroad, some universities or institutions do require a U. S. transcript in order to transfer credit. ISA has partnered with California Lutheran University to serve as the School of Record for those students requiring a U.S. transcript for the ABSP programs. If you have confirmed with your home university that you will require a U.S. transcript, or are interested in learning about this option, please contact your Program Manager or Site Specialist as soon as possible.
