Academic Year

Intensive French Language - Institut Catholique de Paris -Institut Catholique de Paris

This program offers students the opportunity to hone their French language abilities by exclusively taking French courses during an intensive session at the Institut Catholique de Paris. The program is available to students from all language backgrounds, from the true beginning (débutant) to the superior (supérieur) language levels. The intensive month serves well as a precursor to the academic year or semester programs at the Sorbonne in order to further strengthen students' language skills. It may also be completed as an individual program.

Through a pre-departure online placement exam, students will be placed into the most appropriate French language course to foster their linguistic growth. Four specific language competencies are targeted over the course of the program:
  • verbal comprehension
  • verbal expression/phonetics
  • written comprehension
  • written expression

Classes are comprised of international students from every corner of the world, providing students with unique perspectives and environments from which to learn. All courses are taught in French by host university faculty at the Institut Catholique de Paris in its Institut de Langue et de Culture Française (ILCF).

Gap students, 18 years old and older, are eligible for this program.

Please note that the Intensive Month program price does not include airport pick-up, drop-off, or excursions.
