Indian consulates and embassies in the United States outsource their visa services to Travisa Outsourcing Inc. (). Note that consulates will not accept any applications for visas. Students must submit all visa applications directly to Travisa.
Students should apply for a student visa. To do so, students will need to submit to Travisa a copy of the acceptance letter from the University of Hyderabad (UoH), which ISA will provide students after UoH has processed their admission. A major benefit of the student visa is its allowance of multiple entries into India. Please note: a visa is valid beginning on the day it is issued. Therefore a six-month visa issued on January 1 would be valid until June 30. Persons of Indian origin will receive only an entry visa and should not apply for a student visa. Complete details on costs of student visas and visas for non-U.S. citizens may be found on thewebsite.
