Housing Information

ISA Housing provides the opportunity for students to experience aspects of the Galway lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor of Ireland. All ISA Housing options are within walking distance to National University of Ireland, Galway.

The experience of living in another culture will be both educational and rewarding so long as you stay open-minded and reasonable. There are differences in culture and lifestyle between life in Ireland and the U.S. that will quickly become apparent upon your arrival. Remember: the key to a positive experience is flexibility!

Student Residences:
ISA students live in apartment style student housing with international and local students. This mix allows ISA program participants the opportunity to meet students from a variety of backgrounds and is the ideal setting for students looking for a cultural immersion experience. Gort na Coiribe, the newly built student residence, is just a 15 minute walk from NUI, Galway and 10 minutes from Galway's town center. A shared bedroom is included in the program price. Each student residence comes fully furnished with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, a living area and a kitchen. Free, unlimited internet access is available in each bedroom and students are provided with a bed, desk and ample storage space. Students also have access to on-site laundry facilities (charges apply), bicycle storage sheds and nearby shopping. Finally, Gort na Coiribe has nightly on-site security and a 24 hour emergency security number.

Students living at Gort na Coiribe will be required to submit a $750 deposit at the time of payment.

Independent Housing
You may opt to secure housing independently. If you select this option, you will receive a discount equal to the housing portion of the program price. By choosing to opt out of ISA housing, you are solely responsible for researching, reserving, and paying for all fees, deposits, and paying rent directly to the housing facility you choose.
