The Irish Studies program is offered through the University of Limerick (UL). This program offers students a comprehensive introduction to Irish culture, society, history, literature, film and art through a series of courses and excursions. Of particular note is the Modern Irish Theatre course, where students will be able to attend professional theatre productions in Dublin and Galway.

Courses are taught by UL faculty and ISA students take classes with other international students. All courses are taught in English.

Eligibility

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must include with the standard ISA application:
- A letter of recommendation from an academic source. The letter must be signed and written on university letterhead.
- A letter of intent.

Students must have at least sophomore standing (second year) at their home university at the time of participation.
