Verona and Lake Garda (SUMMER ONLY)

Location: Italy

Visitors have every reason to be captivated by Verona's charm and sophistication, just as Shakespeare was when he set the story of Romeo and Juliet here. Named a UNESCO world heritage site in 2000, students can enjoy the view from Juliet's balcony, and visit one of the largest and best-preserved Roman Arenas in existence. The Arena also is home to many festivals throughout the year.

Then visit the southern shore of Lake Garda and the town of Sirmione; an area buzzing with life and stunning scenery. Villas, such as famous opera singer Maria Callas', dot the shores of the lake, while the ancient Villa of Catullus, ancient Roman poet, are also found in Sirmione. Spend time hiking through the Roman ruins, shopping or enjoying the sun on the beach.
