Students may choose between the following Program Terms:

Hospitality, Culinary Arts & Publishing Certificate Programs - Florence University of the Arts and Apicius International School of Hospitality

One-Year certificate programs offer students a chance to develop new skills and knowledge while building a body of work and professional experience in an international learning environment. Students can enroll in one of the certificate programs listed below where they will take a pre-determined set of classes. Students also have the possibility to take additional optional seminars or language classes with an additional fee.

Year-long certificate programs are available in the following fields:

  • Baking and Pastry
  • Culinary Arts
  • Hospitality Management
  • Wine Studies and Enology
  • Publishing
  • Photography
  • Visual Communication
  • Fashion Design and Technology
  • Accessory Design and Technology
  • Eco-Sustainable Design
  • Luxury Design
Courses are taught in English. Courses will be taught by local and international faculty. Classmates are international students, the majority of whom are North American. Upon program completion, students will receive the above designated certificate as well as a transcript issued directly from the Florence University of the Arts (FUA). Students requiring a U.S. transcript will have the option to request a supplemental transcript from the University of South Florida (USF), who serves as the U.S. School of Record for ISA programs held at the FUA/APICIUS. Business, Hospitality, Design & Liberal Arts - Florence University of the Arts and Apicius International School of Hospitality

Students will enroll in a total of 12-15 semester credits per semester in a variety of subject areas at Florence University of the Arts and Apicius International School of Hospitality (FUA and AISH) including: Advertising, Art History, Contemporary Italian Studies, Digital Media, Environmental Studies, Fashion Design, Food and Culture, History, Hospitality, Italian Language, Journalism, Literature, Marketing, Management, Nutrition, Photography, Political Science, Sport Science and Studio Art. Students who have not completed a college semester of Italian language or the equivalent a strongly encouraged to choose language as one of their courses. Some courses may require additional fees.

Courses are taught in English except for Italian language courses which are available for students with a beginning through advanced level of proficiency. Also available are elective courses in Italian for advanced speakers and internships. Courses will be taught by local and international faculty.
