The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) offers a variety of courses related to Business, Communications, Economics, Fashion & Design, International Relations, Italian Language & Culture, Media, and Sociology.

Program Highlights:

  • In the Semester/Year 1A programs, students take a 2-week pre-session Italian language course.
  • Students interested in the Language Teaching Assistant Program must apply for Semester/Year 1A. Students will enroll in the Teaching Workshop and English Teaching Practicum worth a combined 6 semester credits.
  • Students interested in taking courses with locals (available in English and Italian) should apply for the Semester/Year 2 program.
Academic Details:
  • Students will enroll in a total of 12-15 semester credits per semester
  • Courses are taught in English (except for Italian language courses).
  • No Italian language experience is required for this program. Students who have not taken Italian language are strongly encouraged to choose language as one of their courses on this program.
  • Language level will be detirmined by a placement exam issued by UCSC.
  • All courses are taught by local university faculty.
  • Some courses may require additional fees.
  • Classmates are international students.

Eligibility

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must have already completed two semesters of college by the program start date.

Students must be at least 18 years old by the program start date.

Students with a cumulative GPA below 2.75 may be considered for acceptance. They must also submit one letter of recommendation and a statement of purpose.
