The green, hilly countrysides of Lazio, Umbria, and Tuscany are thick with history, as you'll notice while exploring the well-preserved medieval towns that dot the hillsides. In these towns, you'll experience the essence of Italy and feel like you're wandering through a different time. Most semester sessions include several one-day excursions to different towns. These day trip destinations vary by session and possibilities include Arezzo, Assisi, Bologna, Cortona, Caprarola, Perugia, Viterbo, Orvieto, Montepulciano, Siena, Spoleto, Lucca, and San Gimignano.
