Students may choose between the following Program Terms:

Business, Communications, International Relations & Liberal Arts - The American University of Rome

Students will enroll in a total of 12-16 semester credits per semester in a variety of subject areas at The American University of Rome including: Arts, Business, Communication, History, International Relations, Literature, Marketing, Political Science, Social Sciences, and more. Some courses may require additional fees.

Students who have not completed a college semester or equivalent of Italian language are strongly encouraged to choose Italian language as one of their courses. This is an important part of cultural immersion and will help students when navigating Rome.

Courses are taught in English except for Italian language courses which are available for students with a beginning through advanced level of proficiency. Courses will be taught by local and international faculty. Classmates are international students, the majority of whom are North American.

Internships are available for ACADEMIC YEAR STUDENTS ONLY.
