Business, Communications, International Relations & Liberal Arts -The American University of Rome
Students will enroll in a total of 12-15 semester credits per semester in a variety of subject areas at The American University of Rome including: Arts, Business, Communication, History, International Relations, Literature, Marketing, Political Science, Social Sciences, and more. Some courses may require additional fees.
Students who have not completed a college semester or equivalent of Italian language are required to choose Italian language as one of their courses. This is an important part of cultural immersion and will help students when navigating Rome.
Courses are taught in English except for Italian language courses which are available for students with a beginning through advanced level of proficiency. Courses will be taught by local and international faculty. Classmates are international students, the majority of whom are North American.
Internships are available for ACADEMIC YEAR STUDENTS ONLY.
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
There is no language prerequisite for this program.
Students must be at least 18 years old by the program start date.
Students must submit a course registration agreement. Additional details will be provided after gaining access to the ISA Student Portal.
Students with a cumulative GPA below 2.5 may be considered for acceptance. They must also submit one letter of recommendation and a statement of purpose.
Courses and course hours of instruction are subject to change.
Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam and/or pre-requisites.
Some courses may require additional fees.
Availability of courses is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last minute class cancellations
