Academic Programs in Rome

Students may choose from the following Academic Program options:

Academic Year

Students participating in the ISA Rome Academic Year program can choose from a multitude of courses in English as well as several courses in the Italian language. Classmates are international students, the majority of whom are North American. The wide range of course options available includes culture, Art, Architecture, Economics, History, International Relations, Literature, Italian History and Language, Social Sciences, Political Science, Physical and Biological Sciences, Video Production and more.

Year students also have the possibility to participate in academic internships for credit during their second semester in Rome.

Semester / Trimester

Students participating in the ISA Rome Semester program can choose from a multitude of courses in English as well as several courses in the Italian language. Classmates are international students, the majority of whom are North American. The wide range of course options available includes Art, Architecture, Economics, History, International Relations, Literature, Italian History and Language, Social Sciences, Political Science, Physical and Biological Sciences, Video production, and more.

Summer

Students participating in the ISA Rome Summer program may choose from courses in Art, Classics, Italian history, Economics, Communications, and Politics as well as Italian language. Classmates are international students, the majority of whom are North American.

J-Term

The J-Term (January Term) program is designed for students wanting to complete a Culture or Liberal Arts course in an intensive format. This program can be taken as a precursor to a semester program or as an individual program. This program is ideal for students looking for a iconic Italian experience short term.

The J-Term session is open to students who have a 2.75 GPA. Courses are taught in English. Courses will be taught by local and international faculty. Classmates are international students, the majority of whom are North American.

Please note that the J-Term program price does not include airport pick-up, drop-off, or excursions.
