GranadaEmbassies and ConsulatesIf your academic program in Italy is 90 days or more, you are REQUIRED to obtain a student visa from the Italian Government. You MUST apply for your student visa through the Italian Consulate with jurisdiction over your permanent state of residence (see link below). If you are not able to travel to your Consulate General, you may also apply at one of the many Honorary Consulates found within their jurisdiction. Consulates require that students apply for their visa IN PERSON. If you are not a U.S. citizen, you should contact your Consulate immediately to inquire about specific admission/visa requirements. As of September 1, 2010, students may enter Italy for academic program that are UNDER 90 days without the corresponding student visa. Note: Embassy and consulate contact information is subject to change without notice. Please refer to the website of the embassy or consulate to verify information.
