Housing Information

ISA housing provides the opportunity for students to experience aspects of the Jordanian lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor to Jordan. All ISA housing options are either within walking distance or conveniently located to public transit routes. Travel times to the various university buildings generally range between 5 and 45 minutes depending on housing and class locations. For more information on transportation in Amman, click here.

The experience of living in another culture will be both educational and rewarding so long as you stay open-minded and reasonable at all times. There are differences in culture and lifestyle between Jordan and the U.S. Remember: the key to a positive experience is flexibility. With this in mind, you can become a true Ammani.

Student Dorms
The university female students' dorms are equipped with all facilities, including Wi-Fi, national and international telephone service, and access to public transportation. The dormitory is located on the campus of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, within walking distance of all of their classes and university facilities. Students will have their choice of single or double rooms, although single rooms will require a supplemental fee. Students may indicate their preference for a local student roommate on their housing questionnaire; however, such arrangements are based upon availability. In addition to refrigerators in the rooms, each floor has a kitchenette and the university provides residents a weekly shuttle to the grocery store.

ISA Apartments
This option is available for both male and female students, but it is the only option for male students. These double-occupancy apartments are fully furnished and include a bed, desk, refrigerator, air conditioning, kitchen and other amenities depending on the specific apartment.

A $400 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living inISA arranged housing.ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in the case of damage to property, or if utility usage exceeds the allotted monthly amount.

Independent Housing
Students may opt to secure housing independently. Students who select this option receive a discount equal to the housing portion of the program price.
