Guanajuato Year programs include a Language and Culture program for intermediate and advanced levels and a Classes with Mexican Students program for the advanced level. The ISA Experiential Learning Abroad Programs (ELAP) arranges volunteer placements for students in Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Peru. ISA-ELAP is an enriching experience for proficient Spanish speakers who are seeking to contribute to an organization's responsibilities and mission while simultaneously learning about themselves in an unfamiliar, and at times, challenging environment.

Volunteering adds another dimension to the study abroad experience through daily exposure and interactions with local community members, resulting in a greater understanding of the language and culture of the host country.
