Catalog Code: IMKF1117
The Meknes Language, Culture and Society semester program provides students with little or no Arabic or French language experience the opportunity to choose among courses taught in English. Courses are offered at the ISA Meknes Study Center. Students may select courses in subjects such as history, culture, architecture, arts, religion, politics, gender studies, and more.
A highlight feature of this program is the ability to enroll in two Arabic or French courses. If a student wishes to progress through one full level, ie. Beginning Arabic I and II, they may do so and earn up to a years worth of credit hours. Students cannot progress through two different levels ie. Beginning Arabic II and Intermediate I.
Semester students will begin their program in cosmopolitan Casablanca, with a multi-day orientation excursion before traveling to Meknes.
Gap students are also eligible for this program.
Upon completion of the program, students will receive a U.S. transcript from Carroll College in Montana.
