ISA Wellington semester and year programs allow students to select courses from a wide variety of fields of study allowing their study abroad experience to fit their individual academic needs. Courses are conducted through Massey University and taught in English by host university professors. ISA students will enroll in courses alongside New Zealand and international students.

  • Housing: Students will be placed in self-catered, apartment style student housing across the street from campus
  • Multi-day Bridging Cultures Program orientation in Auckland and Rotorua
  • Optional semester break excursions to Thailand, East Coast Australia, Bali, Ayers Rock/Uluru, or New Zealand's South Island
Semester + Semester Programs Available: Students may participate in the Spring + Fall OR the Fall +
Spring sessions of this program by selecting their two semesters of interest when submitting the initial

Housing is not included in the price above.Housing at Massey University - Wellington is $4,100 without meals (subject to change). A $500 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living in ISA arranged housing. ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in case of damage to property, or if utility usage exceeds the allotted monthly amount.

Students who select the Semester + Semester option for this program will receive a $1,500 discount. ISA support services, housing and insurance are not included during the interim periodbetween sessions but may be added for an additional charge.

The following scholarship is offered for ISA participants:

Massey University supports ISA students with scholarships totaling $3,000 NZD per year. The award is credited to the student's overall program balance with ISA. Find out morehere.


Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Students must have at least sophomore standing (second year) at their home university at the time of participation.

Students are required to submit an official transcript along with the application.

Students wishing to participate in the Massey College of Creative Arts must submit a portfolio. Please contact the Massey Site Specialist for further information.
