At the end of this module the learner should 1. Understand the position of Xhosa relevant to the other languages in South Africa. 2. Be able to participate in elementary communicative interaction in the classroom and on campus, asking and responding to questions. 3. Have the vocabulary and grammatical competence needed in these contexts. 4. Have the reading and writing skills needed in the learning and communication processes.
