The Courses with Locals in Multiple Disciplines program is offered through the University of Cape Town. This program offers students a large variation of courses in several major fields of study, including Humanities, Social Sciences, Engineering, Law, Business, and Natural Sciences. Popular subject areas include Political Science, International Relations, and History. One great new option for UCT students is the Service-Learning program, which allows students to volunteer in various organizations throughout the city of Cape Town.

Semester + Semester Programs Available: Students may participate in the Spring + Fall OR the Fall + Spring sessions of this program by selecting their two semesters of interest when submitting the initial ISA online application. Students who select the Semester + Semester option for this program will receive a $1,500 discount. ISA support services, housing and insurance are not included during the interim period between sessions but may be added for an additional charge.

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

At the time of participation, students must have completed the first semester of their sophomore year.

Mission Work

ISA's Veritas Christian Study Abroad division adds ministry service opportunities and spiritual support to existing ISA programs. Students interested in participating in missions while studying abroad must apply to a Veritas program (Visit veritasabroad.com to view program options). Veritas programs promote spiritual growth through the on-site support of a Mission Mentor as well as engaging academic and mission experiences.
