Port Elizabeth Housing Information

ISA Housing provides the opportunity for students to experience aspects of the Port Elizabeth lifestyle that are inaccessible to the average visitor of South Africa.

The experience of living in another culture will be both educational and rewarding so long as you stay open-minded and reasonable. There are differences in culture and lifestyle between life in South Africa and the U.S. that will quickly become apparent upon your arrival. Remember: the key to a positive experience is flexibility!

Apartment-style Accommodation:
ISA students stay in apartment-style dorms on-campus with international students. Students are placed in either single or double rooms, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilites.

Meals and laundry service is not included.

A $500 refundable security deposit will be charged to students living in ISA arranged housing. ISA may retain some, or all, of this deposit in the case of damage to property.

Independent Housing:
You may opt to secure housing independently. If you select this option, you will receive a discount equal to the housing portion of the program price. By choosing to opt out of ISA housing, you are solely responsible for researching, reserving, and paying for all fees, deposits, and paying rent directly to the housing facility you choose.
