Prior to their departure and on-site orientation, students will have access to a lengthy and detailed pre-departure Online Orientation which serves as a primer for their study abroad experience in South Korea. Although the on-site orientation will cover the nitty-gritty of life in South Korea, the Online Orientation allows students to read up on pertinent information before their arrival in Seoul. The Orientation covers academics, culture, gender relations, useful phrases, food, housing, the university, ISA facilities, money matters, visas, and numerous other details that students also learn about during their on-site orientation. Of course, students are always welcome to contact the South Korea Site Specialist
with any questions.
Students that arrive within the specified arrival period for their program will be met at the Incheon International airport near Seoul. The ISA Seoul staff will provide a comprehensive onsite orientation during the first days of the program, covering topics such as academics, safety, housing, food, and transportation. The staff will also assist students with their adjustment to living in Seoul, including information about where to go and how to get around.
