Students may choose between the following Program Terms:
This program accommodates students of various levels of Spanish proficiency who would like to take Spanish language in addition to a variety of elective courses. Please note that students who place into the superior language level do not need to take a language class and may select up to five courses, but no less than 4, within the superior language level. All language courses are taken at the Pompeu Fabra University with international and local students. The culture courses may have some Spanish students and international students. Students will also be allowed to take courses with Spaniards on a limited basis, including courses taught in English. Students must have completed at least one semester of college-level Spanish prior to departure in order to attend.
Please note that students enrolled in UPF programs will not be required to enroll in Spanish language as one of their courses. However, it is strongly encouraged that students enroll in language in order to fully immerse themselves in the language and culture of the area. Any student wishing to the apply to the program will still need to meet the "one-semester of college-level Spanish or the equivalent" requirement for entry, as that requirement will not change.

This program is ideal for students with a background in design, or for students with little design experience, but who have an interest in taking graphic design or visual arts courses in English. Additionally, this program allows students to enroll in a Spanish language course.
Students with a background in design have the option of selecting four courses from the graphic design and visual arts course offering list, or they may choose to take three courses from this list, along with a Spanish language class.
Students without a background in design will be required to take the two mandatory graphic design courses and can round out their enrollment with either two other design and visual art course options, or one design and visual art course, coupled with a Spanish language course.
Any student who chooses to enroll in a Spanish language course will be required to take an official placement exam online prior to arrival in Barcelona.

Students at any language level will be eligible to take courses at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB). The UAB offers a wide variety of economics and business courses as well as courses in culture, art and history. Courses are taught in Spanish and English at the Sant Pau campus, located in the city center, not far from the Sagrada Familia. Courses are also taught at the Eixample campus, less than a 10 minute commute from the ISA office. Courses are instructed by university faculty, and ISA students attend class with other international students.

This program is for Spanish students who would like to take a grammar and conversation course as well as a variety of Hispanic Studies culture classes. Students will take the required Spanish Grammar and an additional 90-112.5 hours of instruction of culture courses. All classes are taken at the Universidad de Barcelona with American and other international students.

This program is for students who would like to take courses in the fields of Tourism, Hospitality Management, and/or Business. There are a variety of courses both taught in English and Spanish. Students who are non-native Spanish speakers will enroll in a required Spanish Language Course and an additional 90-180 contact hours (12-18 ECTS Credits) of instruction from any of the three tracks: Tourism, Hospitality Management, or Business. All classes are taken at the Universitat de Barcelona CETT Campus with International and Local Students.

The Legal Studies Honors Program has been designed by the UPF Law school and the UPF Study Abroad Department. This program focuses on the initial academic education of studying law. This program is a unique opportunity for pre-law students to experience academics in international law at a prestigious Spanish institution. The Legal Studies Program is only offered during the spring of each academic year.
