The Legal Studies Honors Program has been designed by the UPF Law school and the UPF Study Abroad Department. This program focuses on the initial academic education of studying law. This program is a unique opportunity for pre-law students to experience academics in international law at a prestigious Spanish institution. The Legal Studies Program is only offered during the spring of each academic year.

This program accommodates students of various levels of Spanish proficiency who would like to take Spanish language in addition to a variety of elective courses. All students will enroll in a 90-hour Spanish language course and then choose two or three additional electives within their language level. Please note that students who place into the superior language level are not required to take a language class and may select up to five courses, but no less than 4, within the superior language level. All language courses are taken at the Pompeu Fabra University with international and local students. The culture courses may have some Spanish students and international students. Students will also be allowed to take courses with Spaniards on a limited basis, including courses taught in English. Students must have at completed at least one semester of college-level Spanish prior to departure in order to attend.

Students at any language level will be eligible to take courses at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB). The UAB offers a wide variety of economics and business courses as well as courses in culture, art and history. Courses are taught in Spanish and English at the Sant Pau campus, located in the city center, not far from the Sagrada Familia. Courses are also taught at the Eixample campus, less than a 10 minute commute from the ISA office. Courses are instructed by university faculty, and ISA students attend class with other international students.

This program is for Spanish students who would like to take a grammar and conversation course as well as a variety of Hispanic Studies culture classes. Students will take the required Spanish Grammar and an additional 90-112.5 hours of instruction of culture courses. All classes are taken at the University of Barcelona with American and other international students.
