Universidad de Deusto - Bilbao
The Universidad de Deusto was founded in Bilbao in 1886 by the Jesuits. It is Spain's first and one of its most prestigious private universities. The Business College of the University, founded in 1916, was the first college and the only one of its kind for nearly 50 years in Spain. The university has a strong commitment to international studies, attracting students from around Europe and the rest of the world. Currently, 15% of the students at the Universidad de Deusto are international students. The university is fully accredited and recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science (Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia).

The university is conveniently located on the banks of the Nervion River, across from the world renowned Guggenheim Museum, and just a five minute walk from the heart of downtown. It is one of the most emblematic buildings in Bilbao. There are two buildings which house administrative offices, classrooms, a café and peaceful courtyards where students can lounge and study. Students are able to participate in the Tandem Program, which helps US students integrate with locals, allowing both parties to work on their foreign language skills. ISA students also are able to participate in campus organizations, as well has have full access to the university?s athletic facilities. The ISA office is located just a few minutes from the university, with a stunning view of the Guggenheim.
